They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread
IU_FanClub replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This season has taken a lot out of me but my main opinion is that if we are going to do a rebuild, I would rather start it with the next guy than try to let Woody who is already pretty old start the rebuild. Best case with that is Woody improves us and gets things moving in the right direction and then we have to make a change rather than starting with someone new who can get things going and we keep some continuity. I don't think Woody has the energy for a rebuild or what it takes to really sustain success. -

Baseball pretty solid too -
Woodson has done a pathetic job this evening. This team should just opt out of the rest of the season.

If Woodson runs Galloway off he is a ****inng moron. You have to have depth getting rid of one of our only semi productive guards that is willing to come off the bench would be beyond stupid. -

I understand what Torvik thing says, but an IU team at 23-10, 14-6 in conference with wins over Purdue and Wisconsin as well as NU, MSU, and Nebraska is in no way getting left out of the tournament ever. I say that knowing there is zero chance we win out. -
Indiana @ tOSU Tonight @ 7 ET Peacock Game Day!

No disrespect to coach Hunter but I have seen nothing from him that tells me he would be a good head coach. Now of course in order to see that, Woody would have to listen to his assistants and not the old man advisor club he created. -
Last night was fun and all but I still think it would be good if we got some sort of covid cancellation on Saturday

Battle of two teams in a complete free fall. Wish I had something better to do than watch this. At least it's hidden on Peacock so people don't have to come across this atrocity on cable on accident. -

Not really sure where else to put this, but am I missing something about the Penn state game on 2/3 that is making it more special than every other home game this year? Group of 5 of us from my fraternity are going down for the game, already got a hotel, but for whatever reason these tickets are not being listed on any site. There are hundreds of tickets listed for like every game except this one that only has 25. Anyone know if there’s something going on that day?

The fact that this staff was not on the road recruiting tonight tells me either they are morons and suck at their jobs, or they know they suck at their jobs and aren’t going to be around next year. Pathetic effort all around from these guys.

I gotta be honest, there is no reason to keep this staff past this year. I’d fire them tomorrow morning if I could. -
The thing about Dusty is that it wasn’t just a miracle run, they won 30+ games last year and they’re very competitive this year too. Not to mention he has been by far the most successful coach in FAU history. He also runs a real modern system for college basketball and was able to retain an entire roster that went to three finsl four last year which shows he can recruit.
