Every time I turn on another game in this conference it seems like the teams are playing like their life depends on it but I turn our games on and it feels like we’re playing because it’s on the schedule

Getting Queen would be cool and all because he's a 5 star and a really good player, but it doesn't really fix any of our issues. Him not coming would not upset me at all because maybe that would force us to play real basketball. However, if him not coming turned into Sparks being a starter, I will stick my head in the microwave.

I would hope that the fanbase can act like adults and at the very least try not to make total ***** of ourselves publicly and respect Woody and the team enough to not turn home games into a toxic environment

Yeah being frustrated with him as a basketball player is one thing, but harboring personal anger towards a 24 year old you have no real relationship with and don't know personally at all is unnecessary. He is clearly in his own head right now and the fact that this fanbase has decided to pile on him rather than either pick him up or keep it to yourself is a sad thing we should be better than that.

If this season goes the way it is looking, and at the end we look up and have one commit for next year. Why would a 65 year old with millions in the bank even want to deal with a rebuild? Realistically if he is around next year and we suck again, which given what we currently have coming in is pretty likely, he would probably be fired so why not just hang it up and move on before things get worse?

Pretty much anyone with a pulse is an upgrade at guard at this point.

Reminds me of when I was a student and saw Deron Davis at the bars the night before a game. Next day we get down 17-0 at home to Michigan before the first media timeout lol.

I understand the thought process in the portal era behind us being able to put something together next year. However at this point I am going to be in "believe it when I see it" mode for all future players and coaches until there is a culture in place that I am not going to worry every time I turn on the tv or step into the arena about what we are going to see or if we are going to play hard, tough basketball. This isn't a woody specific issue it has been going on for a long time now. The culture of this program is soft and overhyped that is the only thing you know you are going to get year in and year out. Blowout losses and "we have a lot of talent on paper we are going to be good this year" are the only guarantees and that needs to change no matter how you have to or who does it.

You would think with as much as these guys lift and as strong as they look in their well lit before and after photos, that they could get a God damn rebound

End of the day I do hope we can all be respectful to Woody while voicing frustrations. The boos while during the game I would’ve likely been joining if I was there, just feel wrong.I want woody to succeed but if that’s not going to happen I hope he steps aside soon so we can at least remember him in somewhat of a good light. He seems like a great guy. This is the problem with hiring a former player.

Yeah I try to be objective I know they are really good but them being almost double the favorite that Kansas was in a game where we will actually have the students there surprised me. And you are right, they have become a bit of a media darling over the last few years at this point a lot of them are rooting them on. Would be interested to see how IU would get treated if we lost to a 13, 15, and 16 seed in three straight seasons.

The personal attacks on Xavier are completely out of line and if you think you can hurl those at him because of some mistakes he made as a college student then you are just as immature as you say he is.

Was at the game and thought it was completely classless when fans were basically pitting X and Cupps against each other. If you don’t like how someone is playing fine but singling out our own players at home is pathetic and classless.

I think the X commentary is just a ridiculous waste of time. He’s made stupid choices but he has t caused anyone harm and even though he makes mistakes that guy gives it his all every time he steps on the court which you cannot say for pretty much anyone else besides Malik. He’s our guy let’s stop trying to assasinate his character and root for him to succeed and help the team like he can.
