So...anyone got anything positive to talk about haha? Saturday sucked but I am hoping to get out of the doom and gloom and into the light as I get pumped up for this Saturday.

@PSU @Minnesota @Nebraska @Rutgers @Maryland we should be able to win at least 3 of those to add on to our Michigan road win, Say we drop one at home that would put as at 13-7. Matchup wise I really think we should be able to get a lot of wins in conference. That does not mean we can compete to go far in the tournament because we don't have the skill on the outside to do that but neither does the majority of our conference. Top 5 in the big ten and making the tournament should be the expectation for this team anything else would be a major failure/step backwards. We will not have a more favorable conference schedule than this any time soon it is really set up for us to do well.

Just as I said before the Michigan game, if you say you came back here to win big ten titles, then you take care of business in games against teams you have more talent than and I see a lot of those games on our conference schedule. It won't be perfect but there is zero excuse in my opinion to not have a top 5 finish in this version of the big ten with the roster we have. If we want to do even better, the season is going to come down to these games Purdue x2 OSU x2 Wisconsin x2 @Illinois You win the home games there and maybe steal one on the road and you could be looking at something really good.

Looking at the Big Ten schedule and who these teams are, nothing less than 12 wins should be acceptable. Pretty much none of the teams in our conference are equipped to attack our biggest weaknesses like Auburn was and we already have a road win under our belts. Also have 6 games against Minnesota, PSU, and Nebraska. Northwestern, Iowa, and MSU only at home and winnable road games at Rutgers and Maryland.

While we’re at it why don’t we get rid of the real one too. That guy sucks.

This staff does some things well but on the other hand has a ton of flaws that severely limit our ceiling. The most frustrating part is that a few of their bigger flaws are a really easy fix that they either don't see or refuse to implement. We would be in so much better of a spot if we were less picky in recruiting and did in game rotations that don't hang a bunch of bench guys out to dry for segments at a time while simultaneously getting the entire team out of rhythm. My main worry is that the stubborn nature Woody has shown is going to prevent him from doing what is necessary to take this program up a level.

I am pretty sure we basically told Caleb Love he wasn't for us but I do not have any actual info to confirm that. What a mistake not going all in him.

This is fair. I have respect for Woody as he has really stabilized us at a point where we were dead in the water. But so far he has yet to put a team on the floor that has shown to even have deep run potential moving forward not just in the season.

I mean if you were not interested in the team, why are you on a message board to talk about it right after a loss in the middle of a Saturday?

I'm not ready to talk about next hire even though Woody did a **** job today. He isn't going anywhere anytime soon but if we miss the tournament I am done with him.

Days like today are why I don't donate to NIL (other than the fact that I had to pay for a new sewer and new floors and have zero money)

If I had to bet on it, I would say Woody is going to raise the floor of the program and make it somewhat healthy, but we are going to have to make another hire to get where we really want to be. The hire after him is going to be the one that decides things whenever that is. I have doubts we make many deep runs with the current regime unless we make a real change in style of play.

Good thing we decided the only 2024 guard we wanted was Boogie. We of course, can only have one good guard. Having more than one would be sacrilegious of course!

The effort today was absolutely inexcusable. That team should have been booed off the floor. Waste of NIL money and waste of scholarship money. Not single one of them earned the great opportunity they are given. The team looked like a collection of losers from the head coach on down. Terrible job by Woody and zero leadership from the players.

I will say, making the tournament should be the bare minimum for this program. If you miss it especially in the NIL and transfer portal era you should absolutely be on the hot seat.

Woody should not be fired. He will have the program in a healthy spot for his tenure. But unless he makes a real change in the way he runs his program we will not win on a national scale. Just won’t happen the way he coaches.

This is the softest and most pathetic performance of the Woodson era. Most poorly coached game I’ve ever seen and that includes Archie, Crean, and Davis.

Just split these next two without X and let's get ready for big ten play. Super impressed with how this team has been able to learn and win on the fly. I think it speaks to the culture that Woody is building and I think that is very exciting.
