    I'm with you. My personal rule is to not watch anyone's highlights unless they have committed to IU to keep myself from getting too fired up lol.

    Love how the national media that gets all over us when we struggle and salivates at our losses, has had nothing to say after what was essentially 3 straight short-handed wins since X went out at half against Harvard. Just keep winning baby! This Saturday is the closest I'll ever get to being an Alabama fan. Hoosiers vs Auburn and the Tide vs Purdouche lol

    Yeah I'm not a huge focus on computer rankings and stuff person but it would be really stupid on our end to not count that as a neutral game if that is the case.

    I don't want it to sound as if I am putting unrealistic expectations on this team. But Michigan is 4-4 and looks out of sorts. At some point these have to be games we expect to win if we are going to get where we want to be.

    How could they count that as a home game when it is not at home????

    I'm going to be honest we are at the point where a win should be expected tomorrow night. "I came back here to win Big Ten titles and National titles" Now I am not saying this specific team has to win the Big Ten or it's a failure but if that is why you came back and it is year 3, you should beat 4-4 Michigan home, away, neutral, on Mars, wherever.

    I think once Malik starts seeing the floor a little better there are going to be a lot of open looks. He is just a step slow right now on kicking the ball out.

    I am all for doing the due diligence but I think it is more than fair to say that at this point, the staff has been far too picky in recruiting and it has hurt our roster construction to an extent. I would just like to see some urgency given we have one commit for 2024 (who is awesome) that is not a guard and that is the biggest glaring hole on this roster now and going forward.

    As of right now our guards for next year are Cupps, Galloway, Newton (health?), Gunn, Leal? I would put us in the desperate category at this point. I don't have any problem renting players but I just don't want us to be in the position of every spring portal season deciding how our upcoming season goes.

    Yeah I mean if you can get them that works but I would like to have some guards we develop as well so we aren't in the constant cycle of needing rentals out of the portal.

    We should be going after both. We need guards on the roster, we are about to probably have Gabe Cupps as a freshman starting possibly our toughest 4 game stretch of the season because we don't have any guard depth.

    I would say maybe throw Mgbako on Scott and Malik on JG but that would hinge on Mgbako not getting lost. He's improving but don't know if he's ready for that yet.

    The fact that Woody can take a look at his current roster and the 2024 class and he still hasn't decided if he wants to recruit this kid or not is going to make my head explode. The recruiting strategy needs to change if we are ever going to be a consistently elite team.

    I agree with you, we mad a lot of jump shots on Sunday the problem was like 5 of them were long 2s lol. Woody is honestly probably sick and tired of the media already this year they have been all over us with negativity.

    If X is out, will be interesting to see what happens with the guards. Does CJ get extended minutes and do something with them? Do you start Cupps or bring him off the bench? Does Leal get minutes again? Could all be very interesting. I would not mind seeing 5-10 minutes from Leal especially after seeing him play Sunday. He's a smart player and I think he can contribute positive play in short spurts.

    Never thought I would see the day where our starting point guard is potentially injured and it is on the backburner for football purposes lol
