Fun Fact: Butler head coach Kurt Godlevske was the BNL girls basketball coach (w/ Damon Bailey as an assistant) for years before moving on to Butler. However, before that, he was a 7th grade PE teacher at Bedford Middle School. His favorite activity was to make his students run laps if they were even a second late to class. -

Winning a medal is nothing to scoff at. I do think that if the Games were last year, Lilly would have another Gold. Great run for her these last 6+ years. -

Would not be another assistant or replacement for a current assistant. It would be an addition in another sense to the staff that would help with practices above all. Nothing is confirmed and it’s more of a cross your fingers thing that could benefit every player. I’ll let you know more detail if I’m able to share the info one way or the other. Sorry for being vague about it right now! -

Some notes from practice from a friend who was able to be present for a couple of them: 1: Practices are much faster than with Archie. Don’t think that was very hard to do. It’s an all-out run for much of scrimmage. NBA-style. 2. Woodson is bodying up players and shooting during practice. Archie very rarely did this. Crean never did. 3. Woodson talks in third person even in practice. 4. Coaches have a much looser relationship with players. Cursing the same amount… but laughing about it together after. He demands attention from players much more than Archie did. 5. Miller Kopp is “Zach McRoberts who can actually shoot very well”. 6. Tamar Bates may not be as ready as early as some hope. Still early though with time to grow. 7. End of bench looks to be Leal, Galloway, Duncomb right now. 8. Xavier Johnson is THAT dude. Impressive and determined. That’s all I got although I’m sitting on a bit of info that I’m not able to share yet regarding staffing. Would be insanely cool if it came to fruition. -

Really want this kid in an IU uni! I also really wanted Aminu Mohammed and that didn’t work out... So maybe I don’t want him? -
If I am Woody and Chet Holmgren calls telling me that he’s coming ONLY if Trey Galloway leaves, I am going to Trey’s apartment immediately and helping him pack his things.

Terrible news. Any young person dying is just heartbreaking. Prayers for his family, friends, and the Kentucky basketball community.

I will settle for being in the minority and agree to disagree. I think we all consider Mo Creek a Hoosier to this day. He transferred too and did what he believed what was best for him. It does not nullify the time spent in the uniform or with his teammates or positive impact he had on the community while here. I don’t get the negative view of transfers overall though. Students transfer all of the time. Sometimes it’s just not the right fit. Again, doesn’t nullify the time spent at the university/classes taken/friends met. I have lifelong friends I met at IU who transferred from other schools. They still root for those schools and consider themselves “Buckeyes/Flyers/Jaguars/Seminoles/etc”... along with being a Hoosier. It’s not exclusive. But I digress. My opinion. Don’t have to agree!
