Admittedly, I have not paid attention to upcoming recruits as much as in previous years. Which recruits are looking more promising for IU?

Always an interesting journey through comments after AP polls are released. Iowa fans are furious IU did not drop after yesterday as well as Iowa dropping 1 spot (forgetting they were destroyed earlier in the week). South Carolina fans are making fun of the voter last week who voted IU #1 saying that losing on a buzzer beater to a top 6 team on the road validates IU being bad at basketball.

We shouldn’t. Stanford, UConn, and Iowa all lost this past week. LSU has beaten zero good teams. Only would worry if IU loses first game in BTT. Even then, it would surprise me.

If I learned anything from this game, it’s IU is a Final Four team through and through. Iowa is going to have to rely heavily on their role players hitting lights out if they are going to advance far.

Stanford loses. I feel fairly confident about a 1 seed for IU regardless of what happens in the next week.

Colorado with the huge choke in 1st OT against Stanford. A Stanford loss would have made me even more confident of an IU 1 seed despite what ever happened the rest of the season.

But that’s the thing though is the buzzer thing was a conspiracy and made up by a Reddit user. According to the investigation and all writers on the subject, buzzers were a myth. That’s what makes me question the hate Altuve gets. He didn’t participate in the trash cans according to several reports and people are believing conspiracy theories on buzzers. Just seems like we should hate on other players from that team and not Altuve.

Posting a general question I’ve never received what I thought was a good answer to… Why is Jose Altuve the most hated Astro? From the outside looking in, sure he didn’t stop the cheating but it sounds like he didn’t actively take part in the trash cans. And he seems like a genuinely good dude. I don’t know why we have made him the face of the scandal?

I think the question is what is needed for IU to keep the 1 seed? I think a win this Sunday will do it regardless of what happens in BTT. If IU loses Sunday, I think they can still get a 1 seed with a BTT championship appearance despite the result. Although, I think they may be “sweating” those two losses on Selection Sunday if that were to be the case.

Give TJD a seat on the bench for a bit in 2nd half. If IU stays afloat, put him back in after some rest. If not, he should sit and get ready for Saturday. Woodson is clearly playing him too many minutes recently.

I know Steven well, and he is a great guy, hard worker. He was with the women’s program for a bit too and transitioned to the men’s side. Loves IU basketball!

I’ve heard from a few people who regularly watch practices that TJD consistently shoots and hits outside shots during scrimmages. There’s no clear consensus on why he didn’t shoot from the outside more in games.

This is a disaster IMO. I think Purdue has an easy path to the Championship with Gonzaga out.

Don’t know if I’m adding much, but I was able to get some insight from inside the program. Dane was not a Woody pick but hired simply because of his IU connection. He never fit in with the staff, players, or other staff the entire year. His personality rubbed people the wrong way and he internally expressed the thought he was the next HC in waiting. His personality was not mean or bigoted, and he was genuinely a nice guy. He showed interest towards the support staff’s roles. and wanted to knows the ins and outs of the program. … He just was never a part of the team. And this was expected from inside the program. Zero surprise from my source.

Losing his sons I think is a much bigger deal but still not a good day for IU football (or IU sports for that matter)
