With LSU losing, they may be off the 1 line now. No one wants a 1 seed apparently. Possible Iowa could claim the last one with a win tomorrow now.

Hopefully Great Value Ryan Day can pull out a miracle tomorrow and win again against the only player in college basketball that matters*

With Tennessee and Kansas St losing, where are we projecting IU with a win tomorrow? I say 4 seed. A loss puts them possibly at 5 seed?

Iowa taking it to Maryland early. We are a better team than Iowa, but I would not want them as the 2 seed in our region. If I had to guess, 1 seeds are SC, IU, LSU, and Stanford if Maryland does lose this game.

To go back to this, I am confident IU will be a 1 seed next Sunday. They are obviously not playing like a 1 seed now, but they have the resume for it.

I’ll answer. I do like the build up of the men’s side to Selection Sunday for Power 5. I wish it would end on Saturday evening. The smaller conference drama builds the mood for March.

Curious to know people’s preferences on conference tourney dates. In men’s, it’s the Power 5 conferences ending the week leading up to Selection Sunday with the mid major conferences the week before. It’s the exact opposite for women’s. What’s more fun/interesting for you?

Ladies playing like the men vs Iowa so far. Let’s see if they wake up unlike the men. I think they do but Berger and Parrish have to snap out of it.

Some of the worst defense this team has played outside of Iowa. But Iowa is actually talented enough to validate. This is just poor performance.

#3 Utah lost last night. I am 75% confident IU should be safe for a 1 seed regardless of the outcome today, but I will be 95% confident with a win to avoid a bad loss and 99% if they make the title game.

As a fan of IU sports and many other failing/mediocre professional teams, I can assure you I am numb to all rides. I love this thread every year as many can give their input on what they think the committee will do, but all that matters is on the court in mid to late March. The build up of differing opinions all to be crushed by the selection committee is a beautiful and entertaining sight every year. Let’s all have fun!

I do not see IU dropping to a 6 seed like some others do (unless they decide to lose to Michigan by 20 and then Minnesota in BTT). But this team is so inconsistent that I don’t know if any particular seed matters in the tourney. It’s going to be praying they don’t get a tough matchup and proceed to lay an egg in the first round.

If they won tonight and against Michigan, I would think 1 win with the double bye could have possibly done it for the 3 seed. Now, add a loss and you lose the double bye and are working with likely a lesser opponent in Round 2. You have more work to do to add to resume for 3 seed. Looking like 4/5 seed. This is my amateur opinion. I know you spend more time on this stuff, but I added my thoughts and beliefs on the subject.

Not emotional. Just speaking to what I see and the facts. You pointed it out yourself and validated what I said in that IU will need multiple wins from here on out to stay on the line. I don’t see a 3 seed unless they win 3 games and possibly the BTT.

Why don’t we have Archie come back to coach for games against Iowa and Michigan St only? The only two teams he could beat.

3 seed is cooked. Going to need a win on Sunday and another win or two in BTT for 4 seed.

Why I have reservations about this team is JHS’s inconsistency. Rely on him too much which if fault of the other players on this team.
