  1. That makes Joey going to the portal even more confusing to me. I assumed the plan was to play with his brother and once that didn’t look likely he decided to see what was out there.
  2. Could that be about the $3 million ‘appearing’ for NIL. They may be implying that something was keeping that money from coming out while Allen was coaching. That was my first thought. I don’t think it’s worth overthinking random tweets. If it makes anyone feel better, I knew people would be upset with the new hire right when Allen got fired.
  3. I think I heard something about Blidi’s wife going into labor and TA being one of the first people at the hospital. With everything that is said about him, I’ll stand by my belief that he is a great person.
  4. We probably saw each other then. I was in that same section on the last row of the bleachers.
  5. Did you sit close to them?
  6. Big time recruiting pickup for 2025. https://swimswam.com/3-in-class-of-2025-sandpipers-luke-ellis-hands-verbal-commitment-to-indiana/
  7. Pretty good start for IU. It’s good to see Hafnaoui keep some of his momentum from the Olympics and Matheny get a shot on an international team. I tried to watch but I don’t have a Peacock subscription.
  8. Didn’t he have 2 stops at Stetson?
  9. And if X is back ready to start I’m pretty happy. Seems like a good situation either way.
  10. What did he say? I assume it was on a Twitter spaces. I saw they had one but couldn’t listen.
  11. Any names? I saw the girl from Iowa St was on a visit recently.
  12. It was originally tweeted by IU a few weeks ago so he didn’t actually type that part. The part I really think is interesting given the recent rumors is that it was posted the day after the game in West Lafayette. That would be throwing some serious shade if they are true.
  13. It looks like they do based on this article. https://swimswam.com/breaking-down-the-stakes-around-the-extra-year-of-ncaa-eligibility/
  14. Getting those guys in at 7th is big. It seemed like a few guys didn’t have great morning swims yesterday but brought it in finals to be 9th with times that should’ve been 5-7. Finishing 4th would be a great day.
  15. Day 4 should be another solid one. Burns has the 200 fly that he won last year and the 200 Br should be a good one. It’s too bad they ruled Hafnaoui ineligible . He would’ve put up some points.
  16. They were to 10 and the second Big Ten team. Only 4 points behind OSU and they had a relay get DQ’d. Looks like a good performance to me.
  17. No idea. She’s still on the roster. I’ve noticed with swimming they don’t really announce injuries.
  18. Looking solid so far. I was thinking top 10 would be good. I was surprised no one score in the 1m yesterday.
  19. Check that thread again.
  20. I’ll be there! We’re doing grilled chicken parm sliders and mojo pork sliders. There will probably be some kind of side, but probably just chips.
  21. That’s not even counting the auction to coach the scrimmage that brought in another $2000 and the gold outing. I couldn’t find prices on that but I’m sure it brought in some decent money. Overall, it looked like a good event for everyone involved.
  22. Women ranked 11th going into next year. https://swimswam.com/college-swimming-previews-11-indiana-doesnt-looze-much-from-2021/
  23. I think the funny business he’s implying is just that they’re too close to the program. I’ll trust the people involved in setting everything up on this one. I don’t think anyone likes everything they do, but it does look like they’ve learned from talking to recruits.
  24. I completely agree. That is why I didn’t want Sheridan back. Everyone seemed to know what the OL was, but he never stopped running up the middle almost every 1st down. This year they have some weapons on offense and major questions at QB. It seems like it is just a matter of getting the ball to your playmakers in space.
  25. I’m glad to see that from him. He came in as a big time recruit. He should be a factor at NCAAs next year. Also in the article it’s mentioned that Mackenzie Looze won the 200 on the women’s side. It’s always nice to have winners at big meets like this when you don’t have any of your Olympic medalists competing.
