  1. McCollum only believes in using the portal when necessary. He prefers 3-4 year guys that he can develop and impact their lives. He prefers guys who want to earn their way instead of transferring to a place with a starting spot and a high payroll available. So you’d be asking him to completely change his core principles if that’s how you’d want him to operate at IU.
  2. Hmmm…you’d think we could get more than one guy a year if none of the other coaches care about it.
  3. I would question the athleticism of kids from Uranus.
  4. Texas is his alma mater. Maybe they thought they knew him better.
  5. Turned out well, didn’t it?
  6. Despite this post, still hoping for Stevens, lol
  7. Has Rabby addressed how unusual it is that Dolson is scheduling non-conference games for next season without consulting with his head coach?
  8. Lewis was on his original staff at UCLA, I believe, so I could see that.
  9. Thanks, I didn't know that.
  10. Maybe a good chance people re-think their Peegs subscription fees after this coaching search is over, lol.
  11. I'm not the world's biggest fan of Cronin, but i could see Dolson really liking him given the basketball environment he was part of at IU. I could also see Cronin bringing Fife back as an assistant. I think the two of them would get along very well.
  12. I get what you’re saying, but if it’s not a blip on anyone’s radar, why the need for Goodman to tweet anything, smokescreen or not.
  13. That would require hiring a guy young enough and good enough to coach here 15-20 or so years. And I agree, I hope we do.
  14. I wonder if that really would have cost him anything. He doesn’t seem to be worried about quitting his media obligations, and that’s a bigger chunk of his salary.
  15. A couple questions, 1. Was Woodson not aware of our procedure that we don’t evaluate and make decisions on coaches during the season? 2. Why didn’t Woodson just quit effective immediately?
  16. I don’t think he has the energy to recruit like he used to. IMO, when he was really successful, he was collecting a lot more talent than other teams at his level. Early at Ohio State, he was a very aggressive recruiter who collected a ridiculous amount of talent. When that fell off, so did his winning percentage.
  17. What process are you referring to? Could it be the process that the coaching situation won’t be addressed until after the season unless Woodson has a health condition or violates a rule? Is it that process?
  18. Unfortunately, there probably won’t be any. My son is a freshman at IU. He attended it and they didn’t allow any pictures or recording.
  19. My son heard that from one of his former assistants
  20. I‘ve seen speculation from a sportswriter in Boston that it may be $6-8 million. Nobody really knows because the Celtics have never said.
  21. As he explained, folks that are part of the recruiting pipeline aren’t “outsiders.”
  22. I guess the best answer to your question is yesterday Kansas Hoops Chat tweeted its top three coaches to replace Bill Self, and Dusty May was one of the three.
  23. It’s been talked about many other places besides this board. If not, why the need for Goodman’s tweet?
