  1. I need to study WAB more, so forgive me if this is a dumb question: How does WAB determine who the bubble teams are?
  2. The bigger question with NET is not necessarily if they win, but if they perform better than the NET expected--i.e., who did they play, where did they play, and what was the score margin. There is a small portion of result-based metric in the NET, but not a whole lot.
  3. OK, gotcha. I'm fine with it too. They were probably 11 or 12-point dogs in the NET and lost by 5. That's not a whole lot of difference, and they've played 22 games now, so it seems fair to just move up 2.
  4. Do you think they should have dropped from 67 after a 5-point road loss to the #9 team?
  5. I was told we aren't going to pay him what he asked for. But if nobody else does either, I suppose his asking price could come down.
  6. Among Crean's notable accomplishments: He has the record for most losses in a season at 2 different schools, Indiana and Georgia. And he finished 96 in KenPom and 5-13 in his conference with the #1 pick in the NBA draft. Seriously, though, my son took a college class taught by one of Crean's former assistants who said that Crean was an excellent X and O coach who was very good at in-game adjustments and coaching his players to those adjustments during a game. However, Crean had extremely poor organization skills that affected everything about running a program from recruiting all the way down to daily practice schedules, and that was never going to allow him to be a consistently successful coach at the highest level. I think when most fans evaluate coaches, they just look at a guy's record on a piece of paper and don't know anything about these types of issues, but these issues make or break coaches at this level.
  7. I’d say it’s much more likely Indiana Men’s basketball will make it 0 for 28.
  8. Just to answer your question, which I thought was a fair one, Wade was suspended for the final 5 games of 2018-19. That included the final regular season game that LSU won and clinched the outright conference championship, an SEC tournament game that they lost, and 3 NCAA tournament games.
  9. No, but his statue will be in front of the new Knight-Stevens arena. :)
  10. That being said (and you know I agree with you), do you think Dusty would consider Fife for his staff if he came here since the two are good friends?
  11. A couple questions for you. I’m not a bracketologist because I simply don’t have time for the type of analysis that you and the others do. I will say, though, that my computer formula is pretty spot to what you all have except for a couple teams. The first is UConn—I have them barely in while most have them in the 6-8 seed range. The other is UC San Diego, who I have on the bubble but nobody else mentions. What am I missing with these two?
  12. In fairness, Woodson has purportedly said something similar: “I’ll coach here as long as I want.” lol
  13. Well, they’d have to remove Woodson for wearing ties with the opposing team’s colors, so go for it.
  14. I posted last week that she’d be back shortly after we lost to Maryland. The pattern has become too obvious. Maybe she works for the basketball team’s social media department or something and is being sent here to calm the fan base down after multiple consecutive losses. Maybe she knows something, maybe she doesn’t. But I’d guess by her bland, vague, repetitive answers that what little she knows is Woodson’s side of things.
  15. Maybe you can block people who don’t want to read it? He’s been posting the same thing on HSN as well. All while posting over there that Chris Beard is an alcoholic while not knowing anything about it. Wild.
  16. Alford was fired at UCLA mid-season with a winning record (7-6). Since you asked.
  17. The only thing that matters to Dakich is having the opposite take of someone he hates, which has become a long list of people.
  18. Yes, Golden’s attorney issued a statement saying he was cleared.
  19. I think most of our fan base accepts that bad losses happen occasionally. They shouldn’t happen weekly.
  20. The sequence where Indiana was subbing players in and out of the game with the crowd cheering or booing as certain players stood up, went in, or went to the bench reminded me of The Price is Right, as if the studio audience was desperately trying to help Mike Woodson guess the right price.
  21. I certainly don’t make the rules, but for this to count, you may have to change “coaching” to “still employed by Indiana University.” Lol
