  1. That being said (and you know I agree with you), do you think Dusty would consider Fife for his staff if he came here since the two are good friends?
  2. A couple questions for you. I’m not a bracketologist because I simply don’t have time for the type of analysis that you and the others do. I will say, though, that my computer formula is pretty spot to what you all have except for a couple teams. The first is UConn—I have them barely in while most have them in the 6-8 seed range. The other is UC San Diego, who I have on the bubble but nobody else mentions. What am I missing with these two?
  3. In fairness, Woodson has purportedly said something similar: “I’ll coach here as long as I want.” lol
  4. Well, they’d have to remove Woodson for wearing ties with the opposing team’s colors, so go for it.
  5. I posted last week that she’d be back shortly after we lost to Maryland. The pattern has become too obvious. Maybe she works for the basketball team’s social media department or something and is being sent here to calm the fan base down after multiple consecutive losses. Maybe she knows something, maybe she doesn’t. But I’d guess by her bland, vague, repetitive answers that what little she knows is Woodson’s side of things.
  6. …in the middle of the season.
  7. Maybe you can block people who don’t want to read it? He’s been posting the same thing on HSN as well. All while posting over there that Chris Beard is an alcoholic while not knowing anything about it. Wild.
  8. Alford was fired at UCLA mid-season with a winning record (7-6). Since you asked.
  9. How about “unofficially?”
  10. The only thing that matters to Dakich is having the opposite take of someone he hates, which has become a long list of people.
  11. Yes, Golden’s attorney issued a statement saying he was cleared.
  12. I think most of our fan base accepts that bad losses happen occasionally. They shouldn’t happen weekly.
  13. The sequence where Indiana was subbing players in and out of the game with the crowd cheering or booing as certain players stood up, went in, or went to the bench reminded me of The Price is Right, as if the studio audience was desperately trying to help Mike Woodson guess the right price.
  14. I certainly don’t make the rules, but for this to count, you may have to change “coaching” to “still employed by Indiana University.” Lol
  15. …or time to move, Scott.
  16. There were some questions earlier about Ben McCollom's pace of play when he was at D2 Northwest Missouri. As a few of you may know, I do metrics as sort of a side hustle, so I am relying on that without ever having seen his teams play. It is almost impossible to find tempo-based stats for the D2 level like Pomeroy does for D1. However, Kenneth Massey's site has offensive and defensive scoring stats adjusted for opponents. Those stats are NOT adjusted for tempo, but some conclusions can be drawn just from looking at the stats he provides. In going over McCollom's season-by-season stats and rankings in D2, he led the nation in adjusted scoring defense basically every year. His offensive adjusted scoring stats ranged anywhere from the teens to the low-100s, out of around 300 teams in D2. If you want a comparison at the D1 level during that period, the best comparison would be Tony Bennett at Virginia. I will say, though, that McCollom's adjusted scoring offenses generally ranked somewhat higher than Bennett's Virginia offenses did at the D1 level. That could mean McCollom's tempo or pace was a bit faster, or simply that McCollom coached more efficient offenses. In any event, my conclusion is that those two coaches, at least statistically, are pretty similar. I will add that I noticed Northwest Missouri has fallen off the map this year with a record of 4-15, and it doesn't appear they were very good before he got there, either. So, he was certainly a difference-maker there.
  17. True, but it could be that a couple of the guys we want would prefer IU because they have ties here.
  18. I'm guessing she'll be back here tomorrow afternoon after we lose to Maryland.
  19. I’m sure it’s been discussed here, but it’s just amazing to me, even by Mike Woodson coaching standards, that he went back to the two-big lineup with the game on the line in the second half and they proceeded to give up the game-clinching run.
  20. And those standings are from December. They’ve now lost 15 in a row and are 2-18.
  21. If we decided to move a conference game to Indianapolis, I think they would consider that a home game for us. But I’m not 100% sure about that. Might be a case-by-case determination.
