  1. I'm of the opinion that a QB shouldn't catch a tipped/batted pass even if he has the opportunity to. Rarely does anything good happen afterwards and very often it's something bad like that. Bad teams find ways to lose.
  2. 35-3 at the half against the "new and improved" UCLA. Imagine how ugly it would've been against the early season UCLA.
  3. It could be that basketball recruiting is starting to be more like football recruiting. In football, a "commitment" is essentially just who is the current leader and the players often continue to make visits.
  4. The Hoosiers won both meets easily, even with some swimmers competing in the World Cup meet instead of this one and others swimming off events. Men: 199 - 101 Women: 187.5 - 112.5 https://swimswam.com/raekwon-noel-and-toby-barnett-each-win-3-events-to-help-propel-indiana-past-kentucky/
  5. Seeing how they've gone about recruiting so far, I have a hard time believing that they thought they were too far behind on a 2027 recruit to catch up. More likely they saw something that made them think he wouldn't be a great fit for the program they're building.
  6. It looks like IU is also committed to keeping him well compensated as long as he does well. If he makes the CFP Semi-finals, they'll make sure he's the 3rd (or better) highest paid coach. They've also committed to the coaching staff, keeping it top 5 in the B1G and top 10 nationally. Firing him would be very expensive, since it's not only 100% of his remaining contract but also all of the remaining retention bonuses.
  7. The swim teams don't have recruiting problems. The women add a very good sprinter to their 2027 class. https://swimswam.com/botr-sprinter-addy-gebhart-hands-verbal-commitment-to-hoosiers-for-2027/
  8. Now that they're back up: Rabjohns is saying that no one has any idea which way it will go yet but it is between IU and OSU, anyone one else would be surprising. He is still planning on announcing tomorrow but there is no time set.
  9. Holy blatant hold, Batman! 58 had his arms wrapped around Wyatt on that 3rd down play.
  10. You forgot to mention that he's smart.
  11. Miami is trying to flip him. He'll visit them this weekend. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/indiana-facing-new-recruiting-development-after-win-over-oregon
  12. The men get a top 10 recruit for 2027. https://swimswam.com/8-brady-campbell-gives-hoosiers-their-2nd-top-ten-verbal-for-2027/ The women also land a strong 2027 recruit. https://swimswam.com/ncsa-champion-botr-ranked-recruit-zara-kocak-commits-to-indiana-for-2027/
  13. For clarification, is that the interim HC or the permanent one?
  14. CBS has IU at #1 in their power rankings. College Football Power Rankings: Indiana jumps to No. 1 as Alabama, Georgia move up ahead of SEC showdowns - CBS Sports
  15. There was at least enough interest that IU got a visit on June 13th according to the 247 link.
  16. Using the win probabilities on ESPN, IU has a better than 50% chance (51.6%) of going undefeated this season. In 4 of the 6 games, they give IU a 94.5% or better chance of winning. The lower two are 86.2% at Maryland and 71.3% at PSU.
  17. This is IU's highest ranking in the AP poll ever. Are those 3 1st place votes a first as well? https://apnews.com/live/top-25-college-football-poll-10-12-2025?utm_source=copy&utm_medium=share Oregon got hammered in the polls. They dropped 5 and 7 spots in the AP and coaches polls, respectively. Even though they put them at #3, that still feels like a shot at IU. Or maybe it was more of a knock against PSU.
  18. That looks like a mistake on ESPN's part. Shocker, I know. Probably a copy/paste that didn't get edited. Here's a screenshot from the AP itself, showing they got 0 1st place votes: NCAA College Football Rankings: AP Top 25 Football Poll | AP News
  19. IU goes 5-0 in the quad meet at USC. The women were 3-0 with a close win over USC and 2 dominant wins. Freshman Liberty Clark continues to impress. The men absolutely dominated the meet (2-0), winning almost every event and going 1-2 in multiple relays. https://swimswam.com/indiana-has-strong-performance-on-day-one-of-usc-invite/ https://swimswam.com/zalan-sarkany-sets-pool-record-with-1429-87-in-the-1650-indiana-wins-usc-invite/
  20. Oregon can't be very good. They lost to IU, after all.
  21. He'd take a pay cut to go there? He already gets over $8M plus a yearly $1M retention bonus plus performance bonuses that he's hitting.
