I was never part of one. The most successful teams I was on we ran strictly motion outside of one play because my dad was such a huge fan of Bobby Knight. But if you ask a guy like Mike D’Antoni, he is a guy who is going to shoot a lot of 3’s and on purpose. It’s his goal to shoot a lot. Because that isn’t who Justin Smith is. He’s a Maurice Harkless type of player. A guy that is seen in the NBA as a slasher and defensive guy who can play the 3 and small ball 4. Just like Harkless. Well that’s good for them. Guess there isn’t much else to do in Nebraska. I have a friend who lives in Nebraska and is a big Husker fan. They were hoping this season they’d be back in the fold of the Top 30. I think it is going to take Frost a few years to get what he needs. He’s proven he can win and coach. The B1G West is pretty wide open as well outside of Wisconsin. But Indiana should still win that game. They are the better team even with Nebraska getting home field advantage. I kinda just forgot about them honestly while going through the teams but they have beaten up on weak teams in an ugly way. I ranked Appalachian State but I also have a history of ranking small schools like that in football and basketball just to “give them a chance” basically. It’s still going to have to show up when we play better teams. And it hasn’t. Michigan State doesn’t have a good offense and they still whooped this defense. This team can be bowl eligible in two weeks. But the defense is going to have to step up to do that. Maryland has fallen off a cliff and their QB isn’t that great. Should be a good game for the DB’s. Nebraska isn’t good but beating the name Nebraska would be nice. Especially at Nebraska. We have 5 winnable games left and the defense is going to have to show in all of them. We didn’t have the inside depth last we that we do this year. Last year Davis was the only center. Now we have Davis, Brunk and TJD. And TJD is likely to get plenty of run at the 4. Meaning Smith and Hunter will be getting a lot of fun at the 3. So Rob, Green and Al are really the only 3 needed to cover the the 80 minutes of playing time at the 1 and 2 spot. Evenly split up that’s about 26-27 minutes a game. So barring any injuries and foul trouble, Franklin isn’t likely to get a ton of minutes. And that’s completely fine. He is going to get his chances here and there against the crappy teams we play, but once B1G season rolls around, and if this team is healthy, he will be sitting with Damezi and possibly Race at the end of the bench.
