Not surprising. Pitt even after beating FSU isn’t going to be a very good team this year. Their best days may just be behind them. I don’t believe a move to the ACC was their best choice. Rough first half. Killing them on the boards as we should. Their defense is definitely disruptive to our offense. Phinisee just hasn’t looked great yet but he is likely still getting his feet wet. Race put in good minutes. Hunter finally got to see a 3 go through the basket. Last 3 minutes was much better than the other 17. Justin Smith has looked the best. Al needs to be even more aggressive. The offense has looked stagnant and the defense is okay I guess. We are playing against Portland State. A team projected to finish 6th in the Big Sky. The 3 after are against #8 South Carolina, #2 Baylor and Washington State in the Virgin Islands. Then on the road at #18 Miami. Then 3 easier games against North Florida, Butler and Youngstown St. Then right back stir with #11 UCLA coming to Bloomington. Then right into the B1G schedule 6 days later with #17 Michigan State. Kid is a natural scorer. Freshmen aren’t supposed to finish at the rim like he did. He’s never been considered a shooter by any means but with the spacing and speed of the game, he can end up in a few years averaging 15 a game.
