  1. Yea... they also have a way worse team... and in a screwed up world, Georgia will make the NCAA tourney before IU. At that point, just shut it all down. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Mavericks beat the Nuggets tonight 109-106. Mavericks played 10 guys. 9 of the 10 scored in double digits with the high of 14 which Tim Hardaway Jr and Maxi Kleber each scored. Dorian Finney-Smith, Luka Doncic and Delon Wright our in 12. Jalen Brunson had 11. Kristaps Porzingis Seth Curry and Justin Jackson had 10. Only Dwight Powell didn’t scored in double digits and he had 4. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. So then you should give the cheerleading a test until it’s a success right? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Indiana 24 Northwestern 13 NW will try to keep the game as low scoring as possible. I think they get 1 TD off something stupid. Indiana grinds it out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. Basketball hasn’t failed YET. But it is failing at the moment. This team is predicted to miss the NCAA tourney for a reason. If they do miss it, next season will be a make it or break it season for Archie. Can’t miss the NCAA tourney your first 4 seasons. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Franklin was a good surprise. Wouldn’t mind starting him at the 2 with Phinisee at the 1. Though i would only play him about 15 minutes. Would allow to have Green and Al coming off the bench. Still not sold on Anderson. Too many times he just kind for in and looked like he should be at Gannon instead of IU. Hunter is definitely shaking off A LOT of rust. But is a guy that can play the 3/4 and is super long. Could see a lineup of TJD, Smith and Hunter that would be good defensively. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. Better second half but an overall rough game against a bad D-2 school. Only a week left before the games count. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. Pretty embarrassing first half. Doesn’t really matter who is sitting. Hustle wasn’t great. Terrible passes. Not crashing the boards enough with the size advantage we have. Shooting is still bad. This team is going to have to rely on defense. The offense absolutely isn’t going to be good enough and that’s really just a given at this point. Gotta get stops and fast break points. 10. I could see the Celtics waiting a year or two. Because if the Celtics don’t win or go to the ECF this season, Ainge will blow it up and Romeo will either be a trading piece or a part of the future. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. At least you found some positives out of that atrocity. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. No NBA on unless you have NBATV or local. But Philly at Atlanta should be a good game. Blazers are fun to watch. Nuggets are fun to watch. Clippers have an insanely good bench. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Except UConn is a cream puff. They are absolutely awful. So if we have to schedule from the P5 or from the AAC, then schedule crap teams from the AAC. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Agreed. Wait to strengthen the schedule when it’s the right time. This could force us to win 4 conference games which isn’t exactly a good thing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. LSU overtakes Alabama for #1 in the AP Poll. LSU with 1476 points. Alabama with 1474 points. Ohio State with 1468 points. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. That doesn’t mean everything. If you lose to 2 Top 10 teams, one being arguably the best in the nation, then you still have a reason to be in the Top 25. But I can see keeping them out and replacing them with San Diego State, Memphis, Wake Forest and a couple others. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. I could see that. But two of their 3 losses are to LSU and Oklahoma. So I wouldn’t say they are a bad team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. 1. Alabama 2. LSU 3. Ohio State 4. Clemson 5. Penn State 6. Oregon 7. Oklahoma 8. Florida 9. Georgia 10. Utah 11. Baylor 12. Auburn 13. Minnesota 14. Iowa 15. SMU 16. Michigan 17. Cincinnati 18. Appalachian State 19. Notre Dame 20. Wisconsin 21. Boise State 22. Texas 23. Kansas State 24. Indiana 25. Louisiana Tech Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. Just released my Top 25 for the week. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. They are lucky to even be as good as they are. I am sure getting football players into Notre Dame is a bit more difficult than a program like Alabama. Notre Dame is still good, but man did they run into a buzzsaw yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. I was about a month old lol. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Awesomely surprised by the win. Haven’t had 6 wins in October since 1993 when we were 7-1 exiting October. I’d say exiting October at 6-2 is pretty durned good. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  23. Maryland has had enough talent to be top 10 teams. That team in 15-16 with Trimble, Sulaimon, Layman, Carter and Stone underperformed. That was one of the best starting 5’s in the nation and should have been competing for a national title. Instead finished 3rd in the B1G and went to the S16(the furthest Maryland has went since he’s been at Maryland). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Not every situation is the same. The Spurs is a good organization. They’ve drafted pretty well. Ginobili and Parker were going to be good on any team but they found themselves in a good spot. Like I said he is possibly still the best coach in the league. But he isn’t the greatest coach to walk the planet like so many want to think. That was proven this summer after the absolutely embarrassing performance by Team USA. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Popovich is overrated. He’s had some great talent. Arguably the best power forward to ever walk the earth would be a big reason why and they tanked for him. Last season was the first time they haven’t won 50 games under him now that Ginobili and Parker were both gone. I think the USA team has exposed his coaching a bit. He’s still one of the best and possibly the best in the league, but he’s no gift from god. Just a man with a plan and part of a great organization(like the Patriots). Celtics just brought in a locker room cancer in Kyrie Irving which was a bad move. They honestly should have went after a guy like Mike Conley over Kemba but Kemba is a bit cheaper. They do have a lot of really young talent to set them up for the future or for future trades(Ainge loves to do it and still have lots of picks). As of right now Brad Wanamaker is the only guy who is 30+ years old and he just turned 30 in July. Kemba and Hayward are the only other two born before 1993. Romeo is 20, Edwards, Grant Williams, Waters and Tatum are all 21, Robert Williams is 22. Brown is 23. Tacko is 24. Ojeleye and Smart are 25, Vincent Poirier and Javonte Green are 26, Daniel Thies is 27 and then Kemba and Hayward are 29. They are one of the youngest teams in the league. So Brad has quite a bit of room still to improve considering his roster now. People probably expect championships now, but Ainge is building for 2, 3 or even 4 years down the road. When LeBron is likely retired and guys like Durant are in the back end of their careers. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
