As of now 55(could be off by one or two, Virginia Tech does have 6 wins but has to win 7 because they played 2 FCS schools). 17 teams have 5 wins(including VT with 6) 31 teams with 4 wins who still have a chance. 9 teams with 3 wins who still have a chance. All of basketball would be so much better off without the block/charge call. Same as the NBA getting rid of the “gather” and then two steps and continuation. And college basketball going to 4 quarters. I think they will get there with the 4 quarters thing eventually. Just like it took time to finally move the 3pt line back. Depends. You can still call offensive and defensive fouls. But a guy wouldn’t be allowed to just park himself and get ran over. You can argue how inconsistent refs are at calling it and safety. Offense has been their biggest issue over the last several years. Mainly at QB. Now they have a star QB and the likely Heisman front runner. LSU obviously has an insane amount of talent just like Bama, Ohio State and Clemson... but it goes to show how important a good QB is and they finally have one(and he just so happened to have transferred from Ohio State). Plenty of positives. But some of the same negatives that have plagued this team the last two years. The defense is a given. We know we will be good there for the most part. The offense still hasn’t evolved. The shooting still isn’t good. The ball movement has its moments here and there. Still start games incredibly slow. Phinisee should probably just stay on the bench for the rest of this one. Just hasn’t looked good at all. Durham and Smith have definitely been the best player in the first two games. Not surprising. Pitt even after beating FSU isn’t going to be a very good team this year. Their best days may just be behind them. I don’t believe a move to the ACC was their best choice. Rough first half. Killing them on the boards as we should. Their defense is definitely disruptive to our offense. Phinisee just hasn’t looked great yet but he is likely still getting his feet wet. Race put in good minutes. Hunter finally got to see a 3 go through the basket. Last 3 minutes was much better than the other 17. Justin Smith has looked the best. Al needs to be even more aggressive. Franklin showed some freshman but has still looked fairly good. Overall it was rough but a couple patches of good to push it to a 10 point lead. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

The offense has looked stagnant and the defense is okay I guess. We are playing against Portland State. A team projected to finish 6th in the Big Sky.
