It doesn’t change the fact that the two are good. Vonleh was just a better shooter. Possibly a better defender. Definitely a better ball handler, kind of an underrated part of his game that wasn’t really usable on that team. Vonleh was pretty strong too for a kid that was supposed to be a HS Senior. He seems to be forgotten about by IU fans but he was pretty dang good as a freshman. He’s someone I would have loved to see when the team got some shooters. If only he had stayed another year. They likely still won’t have a defense and doesn’t help when your center is probably your worst defender. It can work if you have others that can defend the perimeter, but they don’t. I’ll never have Iowa winning a B1G title. They always seem to falter at some point down the stretch. Remember 2016? They were as high as like #3. Was Frans best team. Vonleh did it in 30 games though compared to 32 for TJD. Averaged 9 rebounds to TJDs 8.4. Biggest difference between the two was the fact that Vonleh could shoot. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Next year is interesting. We could have two freshmen guards coming in that are better than the guards we have now. I don’t think the offense gets any better but the “team” should be better. The offense will continue to be stagnant, clunky and just embarrassing far too often. Might see some of those 10 minutes scoreless spells go down to 5-7 minutes though. Defense should be better as well. The starting I WANT to see PG- Lander or Phinisee if Lander doesn’t come next season. SG- Leal SF- Hunter PF- Race C- TJD Bench- Smith, Brunk, Franklin, Durham, Geronimo, Galloway, Anderson. The likely starters because it’s Archie..... PG- Phinisee SG- Lander or Al(depending on Lander) SF- Smith PF- TJD C- Brunk I don’t think Galloway sees a bunch of time next season. Simply because because we could have Lander, Al and Leal ahead of him at the 2 and Smith, Hunter and Geronimo ahead of him at the 3. Well Italy is a sh!thole. Was before the virus. They’ve been struggling for years. They don’t have the capacity to even take care of everyone. And because they have government healthcare only... well guess who is making the calls on who is being treated... China got hit hard as well because of how poorly the air quality is there. They wear mask there without a virus going around. Obviously those are just pieces to everything. I’ll be praying for everyone during this crazy time with the coronvirus. I know my family will need them. Those mid majors that have gotten in, have performed pretty well. But recently we are seeing less get in. I think the big problem and the biggest difference is conference realignment. Bigger conferences makes it more watered down. More teams with more losses. ACC has 15 teams, Big Ten and SEC have 14. Honestly I wish the Big Ten was back to 11.
