  1. Are we talking about just like eye test being better or performance in the NCAA tourney better? Because those teams will get compared to those at large mid majors seeded in the same area. Back in the early 2000’s from 2000-2005 there were 3 teams with losing conference records and 34 mid majors selected in the same seeding area. Was the tourney any worse then? 2. I’d say the majority would say college basketball has went down recently and for whatever reasons. Yea we will enjoy it, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t acknowledge the product isn’t as good. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Just because you enjoy it, doesn’t mean standards haven’t dropped. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Depends if you’re on the bubble or not. Last 3 years there has only been 1 mid/low major team to get an at large bid that’s a 9 seed or lower. Belmont was an 11 last season. St Bonnies was an 11 in 2018. VCU was a 10 in 2017. The last two seasons have been dominated by teams who can’t go .500 in conference or win 20 games. 5. Pitino and Izzo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. I would say the only teams in consideration right now are Indiana, Purdue, Marquette and Xavier. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. Teams under .500 getting in since 2000 2019: 4 2018: 5 2017: 1 2016: 0 2015: 2 2014: 1 2013: 1 2012: 1 2011: 0 2010: 1 2009: 1 2008: 1 2007: 2 2006: 0 2005: 2 2004: 0 2003: 1 2002: 0 2001: 0 2000: 0 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. That’s a relatively new trend though. Early 2000’s, that wasn’t the case. It was a team or 2 a year outside of a couple seasons where there were none. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. I don’t even agree with that. But I don’t care about conference tourneys. Those teams just haven’t been good historically. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Conference tourney games don’t count against your conference record. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. But that’s just one team. Pretty sure last season was one of the best for teams under .500 in conference. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Dolson is in house. That’s our worst case scenario. Getting someone with rose colored glasses who hasn’t seen it from the outside. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. I got your research done and you didn’t even give it a like. Shame. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. It’s just our luck in the BTT. Something stupid is always likely to happen. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. I swear, the 6-7 300lb lineman will somehow have 35 rebounds and we will lose. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. I mean... they’ve had how many conference tourneys anyways? Like 2 or 3? How it should be anyways. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Would they though? If Wisconsin can win in this league, why wouldn’t Gonzaga be able to? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. I’d probably switch Cockburn and TJD. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Yea same. VCU’s run in 2011 was pretty crazy. Still the only team to go from play in game to the Final 4. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. So it took a few days to finally get it done around spending time with the wife, kid and getting baby #2’s room done before she arrives in a couple weeks. But it’s finally done. Shoutout to Hovadipo. So which type of school would you like to see? I think people will be surprised by the numbers. I know I was. https://xavierharkness3.wixsite.com/topictalk/post/high-or-low Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Personally I like the Dean Smith rule. If you aren’t a lottery pick, stay in college. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Oddly enough, North Carolina got in a pretty good spot if they want to make a run. They play Virginia Tech. They win that they play Syracuse. They win that they play Louisville. They win that they play Virginia/Notre Dame/Boston College. UNC about to make a run. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. But and Williams didn’t get drafted though. Neither should have left. Kind of wonder what kind of season we could have had if they all stayed. OG was the only one who should have left early. In a perfect world with kids who didn’t think short term, Archie would have had a starting 5 of Josh Newkirk, James Blackmon, Robert Johnson, Juwan Morgan and Thomas Bryant. 25. I have my research done. Just have to put some records together and type it out and everything is finished. I think people will be very surprised by the numbers. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
