I know he did. I’m not disputing that. I’m just saying a couple wins here and there in the tournament and it concerns me what might happen. I mean, his comments yesterday didn’t necessarily breathe a sigh of relief. Again, I’m not saying i would bet he would come back…just saying I can’t help but wonder if he miraculously makes a deep run.

Agreed. Woodson clearly thinks this is good and that’s based off his comments alone regarding “21 wins” and “retiring too soon.” This team, with the talent it had, barely sneaking into the tournament is a failure and the definition of mediocrity. It would be downright scary to think where this program would be with Woodson as head coach in the non-NIL era.

Beard is definitely a candidate. I think there’s also a candidate that nobody has any idea about. Have no idea who that is…but I think he would be very good. Just a hunch

Woodson still some has sympathizers/supporters. He wins a couple of games…he will try and come back…it will be up to the admin on how to move forward…I assume everything will go to plan and he won’t be back next season, but it’s still a thought. Woodson is not Mike Davis.

Honestly…this is what worries me about Woodson. The “maybe I’m retiring too soon “ comments after yesterday’s game. I know I mentioned this on the board last week…but each win empowers Woodson…he doesn’t want to leave. A couple wins in the tourney and who knows, maybe we’re stuck with him. It probably won’t happen…but the thought will be in the back of my mind… until he finally packs up his office and walks out the door.
