I will trust Dolson but this is an incredible risk. Arguably the riskiest hire of all. Going from D2 to Indiana in 1 year is no small feat. I admit, I hope this is a smokescreen…and if we do indeed hire McCollum…it’s a gut punch in terms of how coaches look at Indiana. We aren’t as wanted as we seem to think. Sampson, Crean and even Archie were regarded as top of the line coaches…Woodson was just a brain fart hire. This is odd.

The fans did everything they could to show support to this team today. The team came out flat and uninspired and yet we sat there cheering trying to give them energy. Just exhausting.

He's repeating things we've heard the last week. Time will tell...if it's him, Brownell, Mcdermott or any other...again, I find it hard to believe Dolson's legacy pick is going to be someone that is about as risky as a hire as you can get, as well as Iowa's backup...but obviously, we'll see how it all turns out. This has been an excellent search with very little coming out.

I suspect we'll see many new faces next year.

I'm kind of at the point where I'm just looking forward to this season ending. In prior years...I might have been checking "bracketology" or "bubble watch" several times a day...this year, I really could care less. I mean, best case scenario is we're in the First Four again! Way to go Woody!!!

Thanks. Nothing says IU like getting Iowa's backup plan...LOL. I think the more the Goodman's or someone else in his field say particular candidates for this job...the less likely the are to be that person. I still think we're in for a surprise.

Nothing short of disastrous...and he earned a very pretty penny while being here. Not sure who scouts these guys but that was a miss. I can't imagine any situation where he would be on the team next year. Honestly, we might just need to do a complete overhaul.

One could've said the same thing about Calipari and Kentucky. Similar situations...fanbase getting angry, results haven't been as good recently. Fresh start needed.

I don't think Kansas would be firing Bill Self...it would be more of Bill Self wanting to leave to have fresh start and new challenge

Houston 19-1 in Big 12 and undefeated on the road...Much like Wade's record of 40-2 in conference...incredible. Kansas has been replaced as the premier basketball school in the Big 12...with limited NIL resources in comparison.

Honestly, those are the type of schools I would expect McCollum to go to. I think we land someone bigger…but who knows? Nobody. Ben Johnson had limited NIL. I actually didn’t think he did all that bad with the resources given to him.

Really all could’ve been avoidable. The biggest what if. Maybe 2 titles by now? I guess what pisses me off more is that Myles Brand decided to announce it right in the middle of the season. Gordon was on a podcast some time ago and is still surprised/disappointed that they didn’t wait till end of season to deal with it…had national title aspirations that year and thought they could’ve won…of course, with Brand that wasn’t happening. Had to be right in the heart of season…done on purpose. Then again, still shocking we told on ourselves over phone calls lol. So trivial and benign when every other big school was paying players, fake classes and hiring strippers.

I will say, a 40-2 conference record (albeit in a lesser conference) is nuts
