Very solid hire and better than McCollum. He comes with Power5 experience and can work the portal very well.

Devries is not the grand slam hire we were wishing but he is a solid coach and I will support him. I also have faith that he will put together a tremendous team next year and have us contending again...oh, and did I mention his son is a Stud!! He would've won well over 20 games this past season if his best players didn't miss substantial time. He still turned WVU around substantially -- they only won 9 games the year before. He also did it with less resources than Indiana...Oh and he beat teams like Gonzaga, Kansas and Arizona (who embarrassed us). I'm excited to see what he can do. If Indiana isn't willing to go after anyone with baggage (which admittedly, I wish they would), then this is, in my opinion, about the best hire we can make outside of Brad...Jay Wright was never happening. I think DeVries will do a very good job. We will build a team around an All Conference type player in Tucker Devries.

Actually, I see he’s a senior…so I might be wrong. We still have Tucker DeVries…and Jayden Stone is very good if he decides to transfer

Javon Small plus Tucker DeVries is the foundation of a Top 25 team.

Powell + Tucker Devries is an excellent foundation to make big noise next year if Devries is the coach. He also has a top 20 frosh class.

Amazing to me that people would rather have Mccollum over Devries. There's a reason why Devries is the consensus option 1 between the two. He's got high major experience, he can coach, he has proven that he can recruit (top 20 recruiting class coming in), Drake was pitiful before he came and turned them into what they are today, and his son is a bona fide STUD.

FYI - DeVries is much better pick imo than the other recent names we’ve heard. He can coach. Also, he can recruit. Has a top 20 recruiting class…oh and it doesn’t hurt that his son is A STUD!!

He claimed he got texts from two different people last night that “it’s done.” Curry Hicks was also doing a podcast and essentially said it’s not McCollum or the other names mentioned but either DeVries or the “mystery candidate.”

Rabby probably did get a text. I think we’re going to land a coach out of left field that’s going to cause big excitement
