  1. I think we had kinda already fallen off the face of the Earth before that game. That was the year we got up to No. 3, then lost to Fort Wayne, then beat UNC, then sorta started to slide ... I think we were something like 13-5 when we got to Penn State. If memory serves, that's also the game we lost OG. I still remember watching and it was the weirdest thing. He dunked and when he came down, didn't appear to land awkwardly, but collapsed in pain. Ended up tearing his ACL, had surgery, and after the season, went to the NBA ... And also after the season, CTC was fired.
  2. I always wondered what happened to Tre. Apparently, he was a star CB in Canada. Now, he's a Bear. (Full disclosure: This shows how little I know about football -- I liked him better at QB than Sudfeld.)
  3. The Cuonzo Martins are now winning -- erased a 20-point deficit in about 10 minutes. Damn, what a wild game.
  4. It's not the hair, is it?
  5. The Tom Creans are taking the Cuonzo Martins to the woodshed -- 20-point lead about midway through the second half.
  6. Any idea where he might end up? ... I don't see him at a Power 5 school ... We did have a good season, but the reality is this: He was the second-string QB for one of the historically worst major conference programs. If he wants to start for his final year, I'm thinking he needs to take a step down to the Group of 5. ... Am I wrong here?
  7. With Westbrook and Harden on that team, I couldn't imagine how EG would get enough shots to score 10 points, let alone 50. But now I see they didn't play. Still, good for him -- taking advantage of his time to shine!
  8. Glad you posted this, OF ... I wanted to watch tonight, but was thinking they started at 8. Almost missed it. Thanks!
  9. To me, Tuttle is now the key. ... Like it or not, the reality is that Penix hasn't shown he can't stay healthy. Which means that probably at some point next season, we will be turning to Tuttle. I just hope that for one, he stays; and for two, he's ready to go when called on. I'm still a little disappointed/confused that when Tuttle played at the end of the Michigan blowout, they didn't have him attempt a few passes. I wanted to see him throw. If all he was gonna do was hand off, they might as well have left Ramsey in.
  10. Yeah. I have a feeling that was prompted by Turgeon, who prattled on about how that's not who Jalen is and he doesn't behave that way. But he did at Northwestern. ... And when you taunt Northwestern fans, it seems you might be somewhat of a tool.
  11. Urkel was being an a$$hole at Northwestern, too. ... He's a really talented player. Too bad he has to be such a classless jacka$$.
  12. I was sorta half-following after hearing about Kobe ... Crazy, sad, terrible news.
  13. Damn ... Gave that one away. BTW, Urkel is a d--k. No class.
  14. Why is Urkel standing all alone under the hoop?
  15. Yeah, he was -- but he's gotta make sure he doesn't make the bucket, though!
  16. Too soon, Al ... That's just not a smart shot.
  17. Three really bad possessions in a row ... Clamp down, boys!
  18. Can't get sloppy now. ... Make every possession count!
  19. Great kick-out from DD, too.
  20. I wanna see a replay. I thought the Maryland kid stepped out of bounds. Might just be wishful thinking, though.
  21. Wake just made three FTs with 1.7 seconds left to tie the game and force OT against U.Va. ... I honestly can't think of who I'd want on the line for us in that situation ... (Well, Hulls or Alford -- but I'm pretty sure they've used up their eligibility).
  22. OK, my Caption Obvious moment of the day: Archie needs to get a couple bigs who can shoot. How many times have Joey or TJD flashed to the top of the key and when they get the ball, nobody is within a half-dozen feet of them? It's such an advantage to have a guy like Jalen Smith.
  23. Glad Urkel missed, but how many steps did he take there???
