We plan to recognize the former Big Ten commissioner -- Jim Delaney -- and need you to participate. McRobbie: We have a basketball game on Sunday? IU PR person: Yes. It's at noon. McRobbie: And where does this basketball game take place? IU PR person: Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. McRobbie: Is that here on campus? IU PR person: Yes. It's that big building you first see when you arrive on the north end of campus. McRobbie: Ah, yes. I believe I've seen it a time or two. And who's this Delaney bloke? IU PR person: He was the commissioner of the Big Ten. He recently retired. McRobbie: And what is the Big Ten? IU PR person: It's the conference our athletic teams play in. McRobbie: Our athletic teams play in a conference? IU PR person: Yes. We typically get a decent amount of revenue from its network. Mr. Delaney is credited with starting that network. You're familiar with that network and that money, right? McRobbie: Oh yes. Of course!

One thing I hope these guys are learning by watching PSU (and that's a we've pretty much been doing for the past 10 minutes -- watching), just because you're down by 18, 19, 20 on the road doesn't mean you can't get back in it. When that happens to us on the road, we quit.

Sometimes I wonder if Archie lacks an instinctual feel for the game. When I was in college, we played at Notre Dame. Jamal Meeks didn't play a minute in the first half. But Knight felt we needed to be smaller and quicker in the second, so he started Meeks for the final 20 minutes. He gave us a great lift and we won. ... The same 5 who started don't necessarily need to start the second half.

I replayed that last sequence since Fox wouldn't. Al definitely lowered his shoulder and initiated contact. Good call. Disappointing play, because Al should be smarter than that. But it was the right call.
