I’d cut it even more if winning all 3 is necessary. I think a 50% chance is fair for each game. That would give us a 12.5% chance of winning all 3.

I don’t think Allen is going anywhere regardless after this year. Much better for us to build some momentum going into next year so the program doesn’t go into the toilet. Even if by some miracle we make a bowl and a year is added to Allen’s contract it wouldn’t really affect anything I don’t think. The key date will be December 2024 when we will only owe half of his remaining contract instead of all of it. Half of another year in terms of the buyout won’t move the needle in terms of the decision to keep him at that date.

Disagree, he is the one who hired Walt Bell, which was honestly one of the dumbest coordinator hires ever. Glad he finally did the right thing, and I am thrilled we pulled out a close one today, but we’re climbing out of a hole Tom Allen dug with his absurd personnel decisions (would throw Hiller in there too).

Depends on the time. It wasn’t terrible in the first half but by the third quarter it was pretty sad.

I have no inside info, but if a UK guy thinks he's an IU lock and Calipari won't be allowed to visit him, it seems like our chances may be higher than 60%.

This is not a slight against you at all, but Gucci Mane is not exactly an up and comer. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and Gucci Mane was around when I was in college.

It’s not even a lateral move, it’s straight backwards.

I'm sure there was interest from other programs, in the end though I think the chances of him getting poached by a major program were always going to be very low. An AD at a large program would know that their fanbase couldn't care less about LEO unless the results happened quickly (and would likely denigrate it if they didn't). And relying on culture change (and arguably a gimmicky one) to turn a program around would be incredibly risky for an AD at a major program.

I'm not sure why that was your takeaway from my post. I think regardless of whether or not it's ideal to rely on young players, having some culture builders coming into the program can only be a plus.
