We should have lost that Michigan game.  Cody had to demand the ball which was very contrary to Creans style for some idiotic reason.  And then we got very lucky with some missed FTs

Not sure that Towles will have to compete.  I think he would have to be the starter until somebody else shows something

  I didn't use a name in the post that I got suspended for.  So I think there might be a lack of consistency between moderators.  So i shall continue to refrain.

  You listed 3 starters, where as now we have 5 starters not playing D.  2 people actually playing defense can mean the world of difference. 

  Because we had players who were individually great defenders.  There was no team defense. 

  The fanbase is anti crean though.  The fact that we are loud is a good thing its means we still care.  Its apathy and quiet that a coach doesn't want. 

I refuse to post those here.  Last time I posted an assessment of a coach in a post game thread I got suspended. 

I don't think its banner or bust.  But we want somebody that will let us compete for a Banner to be a real threat.  We haven't even really threatened for a big Ten Tourney win let alone the big dance. 

Well we aren't really rivals in Football.  And if there was ever a place for him to impress the NFL scouts it would be here.    Gotta make a play for him.  I thought we would have a drop off next year offensively but maybe not. 

Creans style can beat any team on any given night.  What it can't do is win 3-6 games in a row to win a tourney. 

Would be great to be matched up with a big name program.  Then if we win it will sound even better to recruits. 

Really wish we would model our divisions somehow other than geographic.  Could we do a North/South actually what would that look like?

Didn't get to watch the game was driving up to Chicago so listened to about 3 quarters on the Purdue broadcast.  Its astonishing how little football those guys know.    Great to get the win.  Lets hope the D can rest and get healthy so we can get a better showing in the bowl game.  A bowl game win would be huge for recruiting.   I am not a Wilson supporter but this won him an extension for sure.  And we should probably pony up for some better assistants.    I get that Knorr doesn't have the players for his defense, he either needs to adapt his defense for the players he has or he needs to be replaced.  With our decreased offensive prowess next year we are going to need a defense that can at least slow the other team down consistently.    But all and all great to get a win.  Great to have the bucket 3 years in a row.  My dad wasn't alive the last time that happened. 

While I don't support booing, you can't really say that there are other ways to show your displeasure because its been made clear that Glass just doesn't care.    Perhaps a fire Tom Crean chant would be better(still not advocating that), but we might need to embarrass the university to get rid of Crean.   The booing is going to happen though. 

  Yeah no way he wants the small school feel.  You don't jump to the NBA if thats what you want. 

You don't make the guy that takes over midseason the new HC.  You just leave him as an interim.  And then you find a new guy after the season which is what we should have done with Davis. 

  I don't think he would risk following in Ks footsteps.  Maybe in Ks successors footsteps.  But yes you are right, which is why we have to find the money give him a blank check.  Private jet for personal use, Whatever.

  Hes a great in game coach. Recruits see that combined with the money we spend on our facilities hes gonna have talent maybe not on Duke or UKs level he doesn't need that.    We have to offer him a blank check, he would instantly position us to snag some of the 2017 in state talent. 

  I can't remember anybody openly supporting crean to my face since the Syracuse game. 

With Stevens its not just about the money, he hates recruiting so we would have to continue funding the recruiting to where he wouldn't have to be so hands on.  Which I am not opposed to, but that would have to be part of our pitch to him.    Pay him more and assure him he will have to be less involved in recruiting than he was at Butler. 

  I honestly think it would be a near certainty we have better options on our bench.    This isn't going to be a smooth transition.  We are either going to have a season of booing as people feel the need to express just how unsatisfied they are with Crean, or we fire him soon.  Fire him tomorrow and tell coach Martin to start selling the recruits on the program rather than a coach.    Assure them we will be getting a name as soon as possible.    With how few big schools have spots left I bet we would have a decent shot to keep Davis and Cujo.  He can start recruiting Goodluck also.    We might have some transfers but it will be nowhere near as bad as Crean inherited and we just saw the classes that Howland was able to land because of the excitement a new coach brings to a program. 

I don't really see any upside to keeping Crean.  I know people will say you can't fire him midseason, but why not.  Get somebody in here who can teach these kids some basic fundamentals.  That way the ones who stay are better prepped for the person we get to replace Crean.    A halfway decent coach might even be able to do something with this roster.    Plus this gives us more time to assemble a search committee

Fire him today.  I would rather have a one year rental who might actually do something with the talent we have assembled.
