  1. Didn't Knight reject him as a recruit, which caused him to go to Purdue and evolve into Keady's understudy as PUke coach? I remember reading how badly Painter wanted to come to IU...
  2. Meh. Appreciate all he did for IU. That's ancient history. He's an angry, bitter, whining baby at this point. Moving on.
  3. But it's not an excuse... Just shut up and pack your bags.
  4. I have a serious question... as NFL free agency date (March 9) approaches, we read of players who are being notified that they will be released on March 9 - the date that free agency starts for the current season year. Would it be possible/how likely would it be that Fred Glass tells Crean that he will be fired on July 1, the date that his buyout clause drops from $4M to $1M, and then pursue his replacement immediately?
  5. At the rate of about 15/game, that's passing up an opportunity for another 15-30 turnovers this season... please say it ain't so.
  6. Does he have any paper with him? :D
  7. How would one know? They've never done that.
  8. Wow... just tuned in... amazing to see that MSB has played long enough to pick up 4 fouls... and 6 points...
  9. Except that Purdue will get the B1G trophy tonight... just showed it being prepared for presentation... Grrrr
  10. Am I reading the box score correctly? IU only has TWO TOs this half? They had 11 at the half and only 13 now...
  11. I absolutely despise everything Purdue... but tonight seals the deal... sometimes, the end does justify the meanis.
  12. Boilerweenies: 84 Hoosiers: 73
  13. 4 minutes of my life gone forever...
  14. If this is truly the case, then we have nothing to worry about. No way IU wins in W Lafayette this year. NONE.
  15. Kansas beat Arizona to get to the FF where they beat Marquette before losing to Syracuse Marquette beat Kentucky to reach the FF. Texas beat Michigan State to get to NOLA (FF site) Syracuse beat Oklahoma to get to the FF, then beat Texas and Kansas to win it all.
  16. Not sure I agree. The best predictor of future behavior is past, relevant behavior. Are you saying that Glass' choice for the men to lead the baseball, football and soccer programs at a major D1 school in a power conference is not relevant to the (soon-to-be) open job as basketball head coach?
  17. How is the lack of interest in Crean Indiana's problem? Pay him the buy-out, over time, according to the contract and move on. Crean was a decent commodity when he came here... what happened to his rep while here is his own doing.
  18. Yeah, it's real. It has been since the Syracuse S16 game.
  19. He had his share of issues with kids, too... Basset, Ellis, Crawford, Holtman and the ever-so-in-shape DeAndre Thomas... lots of issues with weed and downright thuggery...
  20. Like Tommy's boys did a few years ago?
  21. WTF. The fanbase is hardly "turncoats". Crean has had 9 years to prove his worth, and failed miserably. This thread is full of supporting evidence of Crean's lack of coaching ability... the two B1G championships included. Sure, his team won the league 2 years out of four... the same number as times in the past 4 years he's missed the NCAA tournament. Finishing near last in a down season with 2 McDonald's AA, a couple of 5 star recruits and countless 3 and 4 star recruits... flopping in the NCAA tournament with two fof the top 4 picks in the same NBA draft ...having a team that lacks basic fundamentals, and leads not only the B1G in turnover percentage... but darn near the top in the whole of D1 basketball... and missing on nearly every top rated recruit this year that he's even spoken to, let alone gone after. Sounds like a bunch of fickle, turncoat fans to me. Time to head back to the west coast and stop trolling the forum.
  22. This team also lost to IPFW and Nebraska at home with a healthy squad.
  23. And you cannot forget the recruits who should never have been offered: Malik Story, Tijan Jobe, Guy-Marc Michel, Peter Jurkin, Jerimiah April, Tim Priller (MSB and crowd favorite, but...), Grant Gelon
