  1. Actually, they were 30 points better.
  2. Obviously, IU doesn't have an AD with Georga-sized cajones.
  3. Does this team (or Crean) even know what a screen is? (Forget about knowing how to actually set one)
  4. THAT's what Tommy Boy should be saying right about now.
  5. I can hardly wait to hear the post game presser...
  6. Turn out the lights... the Crean party is over.
  7. It doesn't matter if TB lowers his shoulder and runs over him
  8. WTF? Double foul? Both TB and Swanigan are done for the night... Zebra BS
  9. I know TB is our guy, and I question that last foul, but he's got the worst crybaby face...
  10. It's that quality time with the coach...
  11. Seriously... you never knew that? He made over $5B selling Broadcast.com, which he founded so he could hear IU BB games in Texas.
  12. Nice to see Fisch get called out by the TV crew for his outstanding broadcasting ...
  13. Pretty much sums up the Hoosier team and season.
  14. Vitale has to be one of the most annoying talking heads in sports broadcasting... right up there with Joe Buck and Chris Collinsworth.
  15. I didn't see any blood... my first thought was broken nose, but that would have been very bloody... hope it isn't serious... but definitely something with his head/face.
  16. I love it when CTC plays dumb... covers his ears and looks to the sky. #sigh
  17. You are correct... my bad. Glass wasn't hired until the fall of 2008... Crean was hired in April of the same year.
  18. The conference championships are great. The Sweet 16 finishes with the talent we had, not so much. If you can't get past the Sweet 16 with the #2 and #4 players in the same NBA draft class, you're not much of a coach, IMO.
  19. This pretty much sums up my thought on the issue. The Stevens and Donovans are not "up and comers". However, with any non-top tiered coach, there is always a risk. Bill Orwig took it when he hired Knight and it paid off. Glass failed with Crean*... and he'll have another chance, hopefully after this season. But if he doesn't get Brad Stevens or Billy Donovan, he will be taking a risk - there are always unknowns... The best predictor of future behavior is past, relevant behavior. The same can be said of success. The "home run" hire will be someone with success at their current location/situation. EDIT: (As '66 Old Fart pointed out, it was Rick Greenspan that hired Crean, not Glass)
  20. One could argue that with the talent typically available at the mid-major level, he's done very well... and moving to a top school in a top conference, he'd be able to draw the talent commensurate with that level of school/opportunity. My point is simply this: if Marshall has competed as well as well as he has, as the coach of a mid-major, would he not be competitive in the B1G, given the talent and opportunities that IU would afford him? My only reservation is why none of the other schools in the big 5 conferences have given him a look.
  21. Who? The radio guy or the coach? :D
  22. One would hope so, given the schizophrenic run CTC's teams have been on for the past 9 (OK, the past 6) years. Publicly Glass has repeatedly said that Tom's the guy... but even Crean's mother has to see the situation for what it is. As far as who... I doubt either Stevens or Donovan would be interested. If they are, great... but I really like Bennett, and see him as the attainable #1 option. After that, Marshall and Archie. From there, it's a crapshoot, IMO. IU caught lighting in a bottle with RMK, and have failed pretty miserably since. Maybe we're due and the basketball gods will smile on us again.
