Likewise, Crean's post game pressed was funny to watch. He wants so badly to lay this on injuries, and keeps hinting at that while saying it's not an excuse. Does anyone think he snaps at some point and just goes off? The dude has to be sitting on an emotional powder keg. Also, Fisch was on with Dakich earlier in the week … and he appeared to agree with DD's take on the situation. I wonder how much of that was genuine and how much was PC playing along. Agreed. Conference tournaments are here to stay. But why play an 18 game regular season schedule just to seed the league for a 5 day tournament? One could argue that IF you are going to play a conference tournament, you should only allow ONE team per conference into the NCAA … that, in effect, the conference tournaments are part of The Dance. It makes no sense to me to have the conference beat itself up for 10 weeks, then cram a 14 team tournament into 5 days and then end up playing a conference foe for a S16, EE or FF berth.

I can go along with most of that. However, I am NOT offering sympathy for Crean. He screwed the pooch and deserves to be run out of town on a rail. #fireTomCrean

I absolutely guarantee that Beard will never coach in Bloomington. No way. No how. RMK, with all of his bitterness (speaking of immaturity), will never allow that... and I have no doubt that he's already poisoned that well beyond recoverability.

This one only applies when both players involved already have 4 fouls charged to them. This will eliminate any unfair advantage given by disqualifying only one player.

There's one more experimental rule not listed above: Turnovers are worth 2 points. Two point shall be awarded to the team COMMITTING the turnover. Tom Crean may never lose another basketball game.
