  1. Oh my gosh Crean, we get it, we can score a lot of points. Can we get the Priller, Niego, Burton, Taylor, OG lineup yet?
  2. They sure nailed their market.
  3. Did you know more than 1 out of every 310 students at Alcorn State is a scholarship basketball player?   Indiana is over 10 times that. 1 out of every 3547 students at IU is a scholarship basketball player.
  4. He meant please don't score like that on Duke. That's why he's permanently banned forever.
  5. Dislike.   1 warning point.
  6. I didn't like to see it for all of those reasons and most of all because it failed. Like most things, if you do something insane and it works it was an awesome idea, but if you do something insane and it fails you're stupid for even trying. Can't know until it's over.
  7. I just realized I am watching a stream because I couldn't tolerate BTN2go being behind realtime but the stream is of BTN2go and probably slightly behind them. Is it still halftime or is the game already over?
  8. Well, if they did it then it's not impossible by definition.   I'm not saying it was a smart play or he should ever have thought it could happen. But, it would have been a truly incredible play (in large part due to the perceived impossibility).
  9. Though, how incredible would that have been?
  10. Whoop whoop! I'm going to get an exact replica of the award he receives to go next to his portrait on my wall.
  11. Wait, what about Michelle Tanner?
  12. Everyone's FTs really. What the heck is this team's problem with shooting FTs? This is the most basic basketball skill.
  13. Nice effort by Max even if there was no one where he threw it.
  14. Gold chain, VO jersey, undershirt underneath, and no neck? That guy live[d/s] in McNutt or Briscoe.
  15. Four white jerseys v. 1 blue and they come down iwth it.
  16. Anyone else want to get your pre game shots in? I'm worried people might miss on their "I told you so"s if they don't talk about how down they are on this team. Oh and fans who are going, don't forget to boo often and loudly!
  17. Or some of the best defense we've ever seen. I mean, think about how we can hit this weird mark:   Turn the ball over a ridiculously high amount, like, 70 times. I think that might be literally impossible unless we had magnets inserted into our hands with the opposite polarity of a magnet in the ball.   Turn the ball over a standard or slightly higher amount and suffocate them on defense. The analysis is the same for both higher than average and average numbers of turnovers. Even if Alcorn only had possessions off turnovers, we would have to hold them to under 1 point per possession. Any additional possessions pushes that number lower. A game where a team turns the ball over more than the other team can score would be far and away one of the best defensive performances ever recorded in college basketball.
  18. I would have just grabbed one interesting fact from the wiki and rolled with it if he hadn't been so interesting. A slave-owning white supremacist was partially responsible for founding a black college and got it named after him? Fascinating! We can't even handle one building named after a guy wrote some racist letters and here they're naming the whole school after this guy!
  19. It's time for your prediction league history lesson!   James Alcorn was the former governor of Mississippi. He was against succession because he did not think the South could win a war and it would devastate their lands. Once it started though, he joined the Confederacy. He lost his sons, was imprisoned, and believed the war was insane. Throughout the war, he grew his wealth by continuing to (illegally?) trade cotton with the North (cotton tended by a large host of slaves).   After the war, he supported the Fourteenth and other various Civil Rights endeavors (as limited as they were). He supported the foundation of a segregated black college and schools. He was a white supremacist, but much like his opinion on the Civil War, he believed continuing to fight would result in more pain than working to raise the position of former slaves.   When black leaders wanted to reopen a white college that had been closed for the Civil War as a black college, Alcorn supported the endeavor and the school was named for him due to this support.   Anyway, we're going to crush them worse than Alcorn ever feared the South would be crushed - 65   The Northern Aggressors - 93
  20. I mean, KenPom still has us as 27th and has our defense as 81st. If a heartless system based on numbers doesn't hate us, I expect we'll stay ranked too.
  21. "I have no interest in that, besides occasionally wearing the underwear, which, as we discussed, is strictly a comfort thing" - Jaybob
  22. I think MSU will definitely beat them, but I don't think they are NC contenders either. People say OSU was lucky but man, MSU won their biggest games on the last play. They didn't show me anything indicating they can hang with the big boys.
