Very ironic given that you just can’t let it go that people don’t like Woodson and want him fired.

Woodson paying an army of Twitter trolls to defend him is sign #1 that he’s not getting the job done. Wonder if any of them have accounts on here

Yeah, I mean I don’t blame Woodson at all for cutting ties, even though I think his reasoning for doing so is weak sauce. The ties should’ve been cut long ago due to their utter weirdness. But Woodson chose to engage with them, even asking for personal favors, until they stopped showing total subservience. There are diplomatic ways to end a mutually beneficial relationship. Instead, Woody chose to summon Eric to Bloomington so that he could big dog him in front of Scott Dolson, for whatever reason.

No real coach would’ve ever let these guys anywhere close to their program. Woody did, though… Eric didn’t “air crap” until after Woodson ended the relationship. And I’m glad he aired it. It provides excellent insight into the kind of person Mike Woodson is and the way he thinks. Absolutely everything Eric said lines up with what we’ve heard elsewhere about Mike Woodson.

All of them? Take the last one, for example. “And Woodson’s actions make it abundantly clear — the cost of associating with them far exceeded the benefits.” Woody stopped associating with the Hysterics because he got pissed they weren’t kissing his *** 24/7. They dared to stop for a brief moment. And so, after begging Eric to hire his kids, Woody showed his *** as he frequently does. Woody got what he wanted out of the relationship and cast them to the side as soon as his billionaire buddies stepped up to the plate. Woody consistently demonstrates his character. If folks choose not to see it, that’s their choice.

If only Mike Woodson put as much effort into his job as his supporters put into defending him.

Umm.. you’re the one who thinks the reference to Woodson being a “little man” refers to his height and weight…

Really reflects poorly on Woodson to treat a guy who hired his kids the way he treated Eric. I don’t even like the Hysterics at all. I think they’re incredibly cringy (though their last episode was the most “normal” I’ve ever heard them). The picture we’ve been painted of Mike Woodson’s character… is not a pretty one.

But he didn’t. He’s 31-29 in a very mediocre Big 10 the past three years. Behaviors that are tolerable when a coach is highly successful aren’t when he stinks. If Woodson being a **** for the sake of being a **** is “hilarious” to you, well, you do you.

Ahh the weekly “why do you guys keep talking about this” post from Scott.

The people questioning the legitimacy of Eric’s story confuse me. Everything in the story matches what we know about Woodson to a T, including not knowing Dane Fife’s or Michael Wilbon’s names.

There’s a zero percent chance that Woodson has even the slightest clue who Sydney Parrish is.

Really bleak sort of circumstances after listening to their podcast. They raise a good point about Woody’s billionaire buddies. Now that he has a couple guys bankrolling things, he can completely drop the mask and quit pretending to give a crap about the fanbase. I have no idea how he survived as the head coach of the New York Knicks (well, he didn’t really. He lasted 2.5 seasons). Just an incredibly small, petty man.

How Mike Woodson still has supporters, especially such diehard supporters, is beyond me. In no way does his job performance warrant it. And at the end of the day, Mike Woodson would put those folks in the same category as the rest of us non-true fans if they dared to question his job security last spring.

The Hysterics are complete dorks who should never have been involved with the program, but I have absolutely zero doubt that what they’re saying is true. You wouldn’t see someone like Sydney Parrish tweet out support for them if the things Chris and the Hysterics have been saying weren’t true. Mike Woodson is exactly who we’ve been told he is.

Also ironic as hell that Woodson didn’t like being thrown under the bus by the Hysterics when all he does is throw other people under the bus to mask his failures.

If I didn’t already feel this way before, I absolutely feel this way now. Mike Woodson is not someone I have any interest at all in rooting for. Thank god he’s nearing retirement age.

Comments aren’t made in a vacuum. You’ve been one of Woodson’s staunchest supporters. Your ‘question’ was already answered before you asked it when the poster said that Cignetti was at the coaches conference.

Yes. Do you have to search for a way to excuse Woodson whenever he does something questionable?

It wouldn’t have been Wednesday if Cignetti was at the coaches meeting too, unless Coach Cig can be in two places at once. Time for another excuse.
