Kiffin is one of the biggest scumbags in college football. But Ole Miss should’ve known that going into it. I hope Ole Miss tells him to take a hike and doesn’t let him coach the playoffs. He’s basically the guy telling his wife he’s leaving her for his mistress after New Year’s but demanding one last Christmas with her and the kids.

We need to start the game much better than we’ve started recently. The past few games we’ve been sluggish/unfocused, at least offensively. Can’t afford to get behind early against OSU. Jump out to an early lead and put OSU in a position they really haven’t been in at all this year. (I know Michigan led early, but Michigan is still learning the forward pass and couldn’t put pressure on the OSU defense like our passing attack can).

Virtually nobody in the history of basketball has ever shot 58% from the midrange. Kevin Durant, one of if not the best midrange shooters is a career 48.1% from 10-16 feet. He’s shot over 58% from that range once in 18 seasons. If you happen to be completely wide open then sure, take one of those shots I guess, but there’s no reason to ever prioritize that shot. Virtually nobody is good enough at them to make it more efficient than a 3 or a paint shot.

Wonder what the atmosphere will be like. Normally I’d say it’d be worse without the students, but it could be better without them tonight given the indifference we’ve seen thus far this year.

Notre Dame over Miami is crazy work, imo. They jump right to the ”we compared their losses and Miami lost to two unranked teams” argument while glossing over the fact that one of Notre Dame’s losses was to…. Miami. It’d be one thing if the rest of ND’s resume blew Miami’s resume away, but it doesn’t. ND’s resume is very mediocre, but they have the big name. ND probably has the best PR of any school in the country.

With the momentum we have - a likely heisman finalist/first round pick quarterback and an 11-0 start - it’d be coaching malpractice not to try to bring in another top portal guy. Mediocre quarterback play can sink a great team. If we had stuck with Jackson this year instead of bringing in Mendoza we’d almost certainly have at least 3 losses right now.

“Vandy has wins against South Carolina, LSU, Missouri and Auburn. Those are all quality teams.” These SEC guys are all grade A clowns. Worshiping a conference the way that they do is just pathetic. The best team in the SEC got dominated by one of the worst teams in the ACC, but sure tell us more about how they’re all unbeatable juggernauts. I’d love nothing more than IU putting BTA against an SEC team in the playoff like OSU did to Tennessee last year.

Homefield

Over the past four seasons, we had 12 games with double digit 3s made (and zero games with more than 12 made). We hit 14 today and 10 on Wednesday. They won’t fall every game like they have today, but you can stay on the court with anyone when you can shoot it that well.

I don’t either but I can’t think of a single thing/experience that private equity has touched and made better, so it’s a firm no from me.

We’ve hit more threes today than we ever did during Woodson’s four year tenure lol.

Captain obvious, but being able to make 3s is such a difference maker. We’ve been called for 21 fouls (Tucker probably just picked up his 5th during this timeout) but we’re up 16 because we’re out scoring them by 21 from 3.

There’s a 0.00% chance that IU would be ranked #10 in the CFP with Notre Dame’s resume. It’s ranked where it is for one reason and one reason only - its brand. ND is ranked 8 spots higher than the two loss team that beat it, and it’s also ranked above the one loss ACC that beat the team that beat ND. I generally think the ACC is a joke of a conference, but ND doesn’t play a murderers row of a schedule either. Frankly I think ND should be required to join w conference to participate in the CFP. Every year it plays one or two good teams (who it usually loses to), them a bunch of mid, and gets to hang in the mix because of its brand. We get to hear about how “Notre Dame’s on an X game win streak, no one in the country is hotter!” but that’s not exactly hard when you have no tough games after September ends. Teams in conferences will have years where their schedules break their way, but ND gets that advantage every year given its ability to choose all its games. Join a conference or get out, imo.

IU with Notre Dame’s resume wouldn’t even be ranked. I think I hate them even more than I do the SEC. Though them getting into the playoff and IU having the opportunity to put BTA would be great.

Good to have a coach/roster I want to root for again. No clue how good we’ll be, and I’m not sure we’ll be athletic enough to compete with the top teams, but it’s so nice not being transported to the early 2000s when I watch IU on offense.
