TB back to trying to break guys down 30 feet from the basket.

I used to like that he was so animated but now I can't stand it. Whenever he does something basic he screams and stunts like he just knocked down a game winner in the final four.

Newkirk just earned 35 minutes a game the rest of the season with that stretch.

I'm interested to see what it looks like 10-15 minutes after tipoff. With the early start and the disaster that is 37 a lot of people might still be on the way.

Wow.. I've never even seen it like that for early season cupcake games. /:

I still get excited for the games as well. Most of the time this year that excitement wears off a few minutes after tipoff, but I look forward to the game all day long.

If we lose at home to Penn State, Fred Glass should run onto the court right after the buzzer and start screaming at him Crean/Devonte Green style.

You have to learn it for the LSAT so I'd sure hope he knows it as a lawyer.

Or at least wait until the game starts haha. There isn't much to be positive about with iubb these days though.

I was only a little kid when Davis was hired so I don't know the circumstances behind that one (why he was picked, who else was being considered, etc.) but Sampson is a good coach. He's dirty, but as an actual coach he's much better than Crean. Then of course it was going to be hard to lure a top guy here to deal with the mess that Sampson left. I don't think hiring an elite coach was IU's #1 priority at that point.

I think we're more or less saying the same thing. We already have the facilities, the tradition, the money, etc. to be a blue blood. We just haven't had the success of one in the past 30 years and that has set us back. If the right coach came in and started making deep tournament runs consistently, everything else is already there to become a blue blood again. It won't happen overnight, but I think the right guy could come in and do it in 5-6 years.

I think he's saying that we're a dormant blue blood that just needs a top coach to wake up and become one again. We already have everything else that we need.

"But Crean's problems commenced long before two of his best players were sidelined by injuries." That's the most important sentence in the article. ESPN isn't letting him slide with the injury excuse.

I'm triggered by the score but I'm happy Yogi is balling out.

I'm interested to see how he does tonight against a top-tier point guard. I hope he can carve out a role with the Mavs.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else get annoyed when people say "we're missing 3 starters" as an excuse? Crean has used 3 guard lineups most of his time at IU and OG and Hartman both play the "4" in Crean's offense. Chances are they wouldn't both be starting if they were both healthy. OG hadn't even really been starting before he tore his ACL. Just look at how Crean used Morgan and OG this season to get an idea. There were very few games where Crean went with a 2 guard starting lineup and started both of them.

Penn State will be itching to get one back after we stole one in Happy Valley. I don't think our team will be pumped and I'm expecting a pretty lethargic home crowd. If JBJ plays we should win by 10 or so but if he doesn't I think we lose. We need a W if we don't want to become the laughingstock of the Big 10.

No inside info or anything but Crean's contract expires in 2020 so Glass is going to have to decide to either fire him or give him an extension sometime soon. Otherwise he would be out recruiting kids that he's not under contract to coach for 4 years, which other schools would use against us.

We're about to find out very soon. That's about the only thing getting me through this season.

He's not an athletic wing with "potential" so Crean wanted nothing to do with him.

I'm sure there are a few more walkons he could find time for. Somehow he still managed to get 10 guys in the game tonight.

Crean's finally playing our starters starter minutes. If only he could've done that before half of them got hurt.
