  1. Lol they couldn't decide who to call it on so they just called it on both.
  2. I really don't think Crean has it in him.
  3. Honestly I want to move past Stevens as a possibility and focus on other guys. It would be great to get him, but I don't see it ever happening. He's in a nice position with Boston. In 2-3 years they'll probably be the favorites in the East. Coming to IU would be a pretty big downgrade from his current job. If he really does miss the college game Duke would take him, imo. I would love for him to come here because he's a once in a generation type coach, but I don't think we can wait in limbo hoping he picks us. We need to make a move soon so we can get the program back on the right track.
  4. They tried getting Hanner deported because he didn't pick them, or at least that was the rumor. The disaster with their football program is probably why Fleek included them though.
  5. Does Purdue ever play Swanigan and Haas at the same time?
  6. If he wants to show everyone that he's worth a 1st round draft pick this is his chance to do it. I hope he decides to actually be a post player instead of floating around the 3 point line, and that we make it a point to feed the post.
  7. After watching TB get worked by some very average big men this season I'm worried to see him against Swanigan.
  8. I sure hope not this time. Maybe if Melo was 5 years younger, but now, no thanks.
  9. Hopefully this game puts an end to the "Kevin Love for Carmelo" trade rumors. 39 and 12 on 11-17 shooting, 6-10 from three.
  10. Sports aren't allowed to make sense anymore.
  11. Our team was dead in the water before any of the injuries though. I think there's a good chance it'll have merit with Glass, but I don't think it should. Next year is going to be worse than this year. We're likely losing our top 3 players and we have no one to replace them. Some of the recruits look like they could be good 4 year players for us, but they won't be ready for major contributions by next year. 2018 recruiting doesn't look very prosperous. Glass is smart enough to look ahead and see that the future is dim. If he doesn't make a move after this year I'll lose a lot of confidence in him as an AD. If next year is going to be another down year there's no benefit to keeping Crean around for it and then firing him afterwards. Bring a new guy in and start the rebuild a year early.
  12. I think that's fair. Brady has the better resume but Manning probably had more skill. I didn't like the Colts growing up (mainly because everyone at school loved them and I liked rooting against them) but there's no denying his greatness. I was just trying to argue that Brady's success isn't only the result of being a 'system quarterback'.
  13. Brady only had Randy Moss for two seasons, and that was at the tail end of his career. He threw for 4800 yards, 50 touchdowns and nearly went 19-0 his first year with him. Imagine if he had had high quality receivers his entire career. The Patriots are probably the best organization in the history of sports and Brady's obviously benefitted from that. Would he have been as good if he and Manning had switched places? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe Manning would've won 10 straight Super Bowls in New England and maybe Brady would've won zero. Maybe Brady would've been even better in Indy. There's no way to ever know. All we have to judge him by is what he's done in his career, and that's win more Super Bowls and NFL games than any other quarterback in history.
  14. If Brady had played with receivers as good as the ones Manning played with he probably would've had more success as well. Is Manning only great because he played with hall of fame receivers? Brady almost threw for as many yards tonight as Manning threw all of last postseason. Were Joe Montana and Steve Young only great because they played with Jerry Rice? You can say "he was only good because of this or that" about anyone.
  15. Of course he doesn't deserve all the credit but to act like he's just another system quarterback is beyond ridiculous. People hate Brady out of jealousy. http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/why-you-really-hate-tom-brady/
  16. Well tonight it was Tom Brady torching their D and now he's celebrating his 5th Super Bowl win.
  17. 31 unanswered points in the second half and overtime in the Super Bowl.. 466 yards.. I think Brady might've had a thing or two to do with how Atlanta's D was playing.
  18. Never count out Tom Brady.
  19. Crean had his time for moral victories in his first few years here, no reason for them in year 9. It's not like this is Rutgers or some other bottom dweller.. "It's Indiana, it's Indiana," as some would say.
  20. He's filled the scoring void I expected Rojo to fill when Blackmon went down. He still drives me crazy out there most of the time, but at least he's scoring now.
  21. Did Green play more than 10 minutes today? I remember seeing him make a nice assist but don't remember much else.
  22. I'm seeing a lot of "IU played tough, they exceeded expectations, I'm proud of their fight, great effort" on Twitter right now. They did a lot better than we expected, but I'm not really one for moral victories. Even with OG and JBJ out we have enough talent that we shouldn't be shocked when we hang with quality teams on the road. I just hate that we're at the "we fought hard" stage as a program.
  23. I know a few of those. They became fans when they started school here and don't really know IU's history. We're just another "good" program in their minds so for them Crean's tenure has been just fine.
