  1. Newkirk and Mcroberts out there at the same times makes it 3 on 5 offensively.
  2. Even weirder. It's not like you want the other team huddling around your player when he's injured on the ground. Get the medical staff in there and get everyone else out of the way. Seems like Penn State did what they should've done.
  3. Do they not usually run by where he was? I'm not sure why he would be upset about that.
  4. They kept trying to play replays to show what happened and I swear they were picking the worst angles possible.
  5. It's honestly ridiculous. You can make as many stupid decisions as you want during the first 39:50 of the game and it won't affect your playing time at all. Make one in the last 10 seconds and it'll get you glued to the bench.
  6. McRoberts is in lol, and no Green. Gotta love Crean ball.
  7. We're going to lose by 10+ if we keep giving up 2nd and 3rd chances.
  8. Very meh. Jbj knocked down a 3 early on so hopefully that means his shot is back.
  9. At first I assumed it was to ease him back from the ankle injury but then it kept happening. If it's from inconsistent play I wonder why he won't apply the same standards to everyone.
  10. Why doesn't OG start anymore? Morgan being out is going to hurt. He's one of our most consistent guys.
  11. For real though lol, sad to see how things have unfolded. I'm seeing it as a road game against an inferior team that we should beat by 10+, but have struggled with in recent years. How the game goes should show us what this team is made of. If we lose I think it'll wreck our team's confidence, which would be deadly with who we have left on the schedule.
  12. This game feels like a turning point game for me. If we win, we get things back on track. If we lose, the rest of the season is a free fall.
  13. As long as we keep showing that IU is a program that can get you to the NFL I think we'll continue to see improvements in our recruiting. Wilson came and talked to one of my classes last year and he said something I found interesting. He said something along the lines of "when you're recruiting in-state kids it's harder because they think oh it's IU football, they're no good, but when you're recruiting out-of-state kids it's easier because they see it as they're getting to play in the Big 10 and they're going to go up against big time schools on a consistent basis" and I think it showed with his ability to get good out-of-state recruits to come here.
  14. Crean got a five year extension in my dream last night. I was so mad when I woke up lol.
  15. What'd they say? I'm trying to find the clip.
  16. I was stuck in row 45 so the ceiling blocked me from seeing either balcony, but there were a lot of empty seats around where I was. The upper deck gets a bad rap but with the renovations it's really not a bad place to watch a game.
  17. I sure hope we don't have to wait that long, I can't take another couple years of this. My ideal scenario is a few weeks of embarrassing performances that get Crean fired mid-season, and then an interim coach who comes in and takes us to the tournament. A guy can dream lol.
  18. Yeah I don't agree with the argument that "real fans never root against their teams." It sucks but sometimes you have to look at what's best for the long term. A bad season that gets Crean outta Bloomington is a necessary evil if we want to get back to elite.
  19. I really hate that I'm at the point where I hear talk about whether games are turning points for us and I hope that they aren't. Hoping the team I love doesn't turn things around because I'm ready to finally get off the Crean roller coaster sucks.
  20. The number of tickets sold wouldn't change much, if at all. IU games are going to sellout most of the time regardless. What would change would be the number of people who actually show up after buying tickets.
  21. I'm a senior this year so I'm all for that now lol. In all seriousness though I remember seeing someone on here talking about the games over break and wondering if the students being gone hurts our home court advantage, but I think it's the opposite. Students are louder and more obnoxious of course but that doesn't help when half of them don't show up. Make more tickets available to the general public and I think we'd start seeing more games played in a packed Assembly Hall.
  22. I don't think it was mentioned but there were a ton of empty student seats today. My ticket group had our row and the rows behind us and in front of us to ourselves, and that seemed pretty common in our area. The 12:00 start didn't help but kids just don't show up anymore unless we're playing a highly ranked team.
  23. After the first 10 minutes or so once our players woke up the outcome was never in question. Rutgers doesn't have the horses to compete with us, especially at home. We didn't play well and it never seemed like our guys were really into the game, though. Nothing about it felt like a turning point. It's nice to pick up a conference win but it doesn't really make me feel any better about our team than the early cupcake wins did. It was just an ugly win against a bad team. On to Penn State.
  24. Crean made it a far bigger deal than it was, imo. Yeah Green shouldn't have done it but if he was wanting to show Rutgers up he would've pulled up for a three. McSwain hadn't played all game and I honestly believe Green just wanted to create a highlight reel play for McSwain and give him something to boost his confidence. I don't think Green did it with any malice intended, he just wanted to make a play for a buddy. It would have been a perfect teaching moment for Crean. Pull Green aside after the game, be like "look, I get that you were just looking to make a play for a teammate who doesn't get many opportunities, but that's not something we do here at the end of a game when we have a big lead. Dont do it again" and send Green on his way. Maybe make him run a little extra at their next practice. The message would've gotten across to him. Instead, he decided to blow a gasket, run onto the court and completely explode on the kid. There's no need to embarrass Green like that in front of thousands of people in Assembly Hall, and all the people nationwide who are going to see it now. If you're that angry at him wait till you get behind closed doors and go off on him. The fact Crean hasn't shown emotion like that all season long makes it 10x worse for me. With all the things that have happened this season, a freshman throwing a lob to a guy who spends most of every game glued to the bench is when he decided to get mad? Not to mention Crean didn't take his starters out of the game until there was about 1:30 left. Some people would consider that a form of showing up the opponent.
