  1. "But Crean's problems commenced long before two of his best players were sidelined by injuries." That's the most important sentence in the article. ESPN isn't letting him slide with the injury excuse.
  2. Nope. I refuse to believe that's a real sign. What a disgrace.
  3. I'm triggered by the score but I'm happy Yogi is balling out.
  4. I'm interested to see how he does tonight against a top-tier point guard. I hope he can carve out a role with the Mavs.
  5. Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else get annoyed when people say "we're missing 3 starters" as an excuse? Crean has used 3 guard lineups most of his time at IU and OG and Hartman both play the "4" in Crean's offense. Chances are they wouldn't both be starting if they were both healthy. OG hadn't even really been starting before he tore his ACL. Just look at how Crean used Morgan and OG this season to get an idea. There were very few games where Crean went with a 2 guard starting lineup and started both of them.
  6. Penn State will be itching to get one back after we stole one in Happy Valley. I don't think our team will be pumped and I'm expecting a pretty lethargic home crowd. If JBJ plays we should win by 10 or so but if he doesn't I think we lose. We need a W if we don't want to become the laughingstock of the Big 10.
  7. No inside info or anything but Crean's contract expires in 2020 so Glass is going to have to decide to either fire him or give him an extension sometime soon. Otherwise he would be out recruiting kids that he's not under contract to coach for 4 years, which other schools would use against us.
  8. We're about to find out very soon. That's about the only thing getting me through this season.
  9. He's not an athletic wing with "potential" so Crean wanted nothing to do with him.
  10. I'm sure there are a few more walkons he could find time for. Somehow he still managed to get 10 guys in the game tonight.
  11. Crean's finally playing our starters starter minutes. If only he could've done that before half of them got hurt.
  12. You could tell McIntosh had this one circled for a long time. Good for him. We held Northwestern to 41% shooting and still lost by 13. We'll struggle to break 50 points as long as jbj is out.
  13. Why would he transfer? Crean lets him do whatever he wants out there. No other coach is going to let him play 30 feet away from the basket.
  14. There's no reason for Bryant to ever be beyond the 3 point line. I know that's his best bet at the NBA, but Crean's job is to win NCAA games. Put your guys in the positions that are best for IU.
  15. Bryant would get pushed off the block by a middle schooler. The gym sounds pretty loud on tv, I wonder what percent of the people there are IU fans.
  16. Lol even the announcers think Bryant has been playing outside too much this year.
  17. Given the good news from Blackmon Sr. my conspiracy theory stays alive lol.
  18. If this season is a lost cause might as well see what he has to offer. I'm not saying play him even five minutes, but maybe bring him in after a timeout to run a play or two to get him an open 3. At this point we have to throw whatever we have at the wall and hope something sticks.
  19. I like the starters but I don't think we have the bodies to start both DD and TB. We can't risk one of them getting in early foul trouble. As much as I dislike McBob getting legitimate minutes he's probably the best choice to add to the lineup. Crean just has to be careful who he plays him with.
  20. So would I. Calipari wouldn't be close to the top of my list of dream coaches for IU. Given the choice between his style and what Crean has done here I just think I would take Calipari. I would much rather have a coach who competes at a high level while running a relatively clean program like Jay Wright. (Bloomington's a great place Jay Wright, come visit please)
  21. He's as slimy as they get but I think I would take that over what we've had for the past 9 years, especially if Crean ends up staying for another 2-3 years or more. Of course not everyone will agree with that, but you aren't going to win in today's NCAA unless you're operating in the gray areas. I would rather win "dirty" than lose the "right way" but that's just my personal opinion.
  22. If Calipari had came here we'd likely have a few more banners hanging in Assembly Hall right now. What could've been...
  23. Lol that's probably true. I was imagining a scenario where jbj was going to miss tomorrow's game regardless. If he announced it right before tipoff that wouldn't be enough time for us to lower expectations. This way we have a full 24 hours before the game to digest it. At this point it's just a huge guessing game trying to figure out wth is going on with our team lol.
