I see him and Yogi's IU careers through their junior years as pretty similar. Both came in as very highly ranked players with high expectations. Both were pretty good but didn't really live up to those expectations their first three years. Yogi came back for his senior year and became an all-time great Hoosier. Blackmon has the chance to come back and do the same.

His stock is extremely low right now looking at draft boards. The d league or some European team would be his best option if he came out this year imo. If he came back and averaged 18 on a team contending for a Big Ten championship I think his stock would rise quite a bit. Archie would have him running off screens and playing defense. This year he was just the best scorer on a really bad team. If he came back he could show teams that he's a complete player.

No checkered shirt!!!

I hope Archie likes to work the refs. Crean not doing it really hurt us at times imo. I wouldn't mind a few techs from time to time.

It doesn't have to be like this Tom. Archie was nice enough to pack up your Diet Coke for you.

Just because Crean would recruit over guys and force them out doesn't mean Archie has to. After all the years of Creaning I'd really like to get away from it. If he could get everyone from last year to come back that would be great imo, and signal to the rest of college basketball that IU is a program that is in good shape and not turmoil.

I'm not sure how those two things have anything to do with each other. It would be the coach's fault for recruiting players that can't step in for injured guys. I'm not a fan of kicking players off the team because they aren't good. This isn't the NBA. Tim Priller was offered a scholarship and he has done everything that has been asked of him. Could we use his scholarship for someone better? Of course we could, but Priller and IU made a deal with each other. Priller has held up his end and I'd like IU to do the same.

Ahh okay gotcha. Well, a new coach is in town so if he wants to stay the starting pg it's there for the taking. I'm sure Archie will be able to help him improve as one. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Why is Jessie Eisenburg always around? I see stuff about him being in the area a lot of the time but I'm in the dark about the connection there. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

He left because they were only playing him 18-20 a game? I wasn't around much when he transferred here so I didn't pick up the story about why he left Pitt. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I agree. He was just asked to do too much. He's not a starting point guard talent imo but I think he would do well as a backup playing 18-20 minutes a night. He was getting better late in the season and I think he'll be a valuable piece for us next year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

NEVER thought I would say this

I don't dislike Calipari that much tbh. I don't want IU to run its program like his, but he's good at what he does. His kids seem to stay out of trouble and although we want to believe otherwise, from the things I've read his players are actually decent students who go to class. I think we could see Collin announce after everyone else. If most of the guys are back and it looks like we can compete for a conference championship I think he comes back. If people leave and it's a rebuilding year I think he moves on with his life. Of course, that's assuming that his knees aren't shot and he can still compete at a high level. I didn't know that either. Calipari's slimy but he knows basketball. Having two top college coaches in his own family that he can turn to is great imo.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

I remember it too. Don't worry you might still be off your rocker, but not for this particular reason [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Like others have said I hope that he sticks to a system and recruits players that fit into it. The days of IU handing out scholarships like candy at a 4th of July parade need to be over. An offer from IU needs to mean something again. Too often over the past few years we've heard about kids getting offers after looking good in a workout or a game or two. Elite programs don't do that.

Is it a plus for you or is it a double check plus?

I hope we stop hearing about 24/7, 24/7, here soon [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
