Dang we're gonna bury the guy before the coaching seat's cold. I know a few stories that I'm sure others here know too, but I got what I wanted out of this situation so I'm not gonna pile on him. He ran a clean program, graduated his players, and gave me the best memories I have of IU basketball. The man gave us his best, it just wasn't good enough. He's gone now so any ill-will I have toward him is too.

We could throw 5 years $40 million at him to get his attention. Crazier things have happened.

We could do a lot worse than Holtmann, that's for sure. I'm not sure he would win at a high enough level to meet our expectations, but I think he would bring a style of basketball that a lot of us would enjoy watching.

I thought it was as good of a press conference as we could've asked for. I feel good about things after watching it. I liked when someone asked about us maybe accepting the fact we aren't a top job anymore and Fred basically saying "I think you're wrong, here's why we're a great destination." I feel much better about the likelihood we land a top coach now than I did when we first found out Crean's gone.

Florida State has some very large humans on their team. I picked FGCU to pull off the upset but I'm having doubts after seeing FSU's size.

I didn't know he was only at $3.7. If we doubled his salary that would definitely get his attention. More money at a much lower cost of living, not to mention his family being here? I think there might actually be a chance!

Little brother syndrome is in full effect. They like to talk about how we haven't been "relevant" in 15-20 years while ignoring the fact that our program has still been better than theirs in that time frame.

I went to a Purdue board to see what they were saying and this one poster was like "Irrelevant for us. We are the same....we are Purdue." Like yeah dude, that's your problem.

Oh man a kid on Vandy just fouled McIntosh because he thought they were down. That almost happened to me during high school lol.

Another bright point.. I see Devonte Green staying now. There always seemed to be a disconnect between him and Crean. I think Green wanted to play at IU but didn't like the guy he was playing for.

Yesterday everyone was laughing at us and now today they're all scared. I can't wait to see their reaction if we land Donovan.

I liked hearing him say something along the lines of money not being an issue. I think he knows how big of a hire this is and isn't going to be afraid to throw around some serious cash to get the guy he wants.

That's true. After his press conference I feel pretty good about him landing a great hire though.

Fred, I apologize for ever thinking that you were a bumbling idiot. I won't doubt you again. Not to get too sentimental but I feel awesome right now. IU is the only school I've ever rooted for, the only school I ever thought about going to, and the only school I ever applied to. The past few months of basketball were absolutely terrible and I'm so glad that we have something to look forward to again. Indiana belongs at the top of the college basketball world and I think we have a good chance of finally getting back there.

Didn't play D1 basketball. No thanks.

Thank god they renovated the place before something terrible happened. You got the full AH experience up there lol. I had my best seats ever for that game. Back before they screwed up GA and you could actually get good seats with it.

Thank you Crean for letting me experience a rocking Assembly Hall during my four years as a student at IU. The UNC game this year and the Maryland game two years ago when Hartman went off from 3 were two amazing atmospheres. I always appreciated you taking the time to come over and thank the student section after big games like that.

I think Langford would definitely be in play with BD as our coach. If the posters that have talked about him liking IU but not Crean are to be believed, then I think the chance is there for sure.
