  1. Hope. My ~20 years as an IU fan have nearly killed all of it, but there’s still a little left. A fifth Woodson season would finish my hope off, though.
  2. Quinn will have the extension paperwork on Scott’s desk by morning. The few days of hope were nice but alas.
  3. I hope he’s still the coach for the next home game so Woodson gets the reception he so richly deserves.
  4. No new posts for a 15-minute period. I got excited that Woodson resigned and everyone transferred over to a new thread…
  5. Buckner really is such a cancer and needs to be completely removed from any authority over IU basketball.
  6. Yup. A school that cares about optics over winning to the extent IU does will definitely not take that chance.
  7. There’s a 0.0% chance IU hires him, imo. If we make a good hire it won’t matter, but if we make another dud of a hire (which I fully expect), it’ll be infuriating knowing we could’ve had Beard.
  8. Well that depends - what’s his record at the time of pass out?
  9. I’d be all aboard the Beard train. He has his issues, but as a basketball coach, chances are whoever we end up with won’t be as good of a coach as him.
  10. It’s the same reasoning behind the initial takes on Woodson, Fife, etc. He’s an “IU guy.” The interim guy doesn’t even really matter. Whoever he is, just make sure he can’t trick the administration into keeping the gig full time
  11. Buckner, Woodson, and CFBHeather are my three least favorite Hoosiers by a wide margin.
  12. Woodson did none of the above and then antagonized the fanbase anyway. Shocker that fans didn’t stick with him.
  13. If the season does get “saved,” our administration is dumb enough to retain the interim coach a la Ohio State.
  14. He’s managed to figure it out at Houston. His teams are full of dogs who play hard as hell. Would love to have some of that culture here.
  15. Because the rules are made up by a governing body with zero interest in enforcing them. They’re meaningless. I don’t think Wade is actually that great of a coach, but Kelvin Sampson has been to more Sweet 16s since 2019 than IU has made in my lifetime. I don’t want a choir boy. I want a ball coach.
  16. No clue, it was already deleted when I saw Goode’s tweet. Dakich still has several tweets about Goode still up, so I’d assume something harsher than his other tweets.
  17. I don’t care if they replace him now or not. This season’s fate was sealed when the “process” dictated that he be given a fourth season. But there’s really absolutely no reason not to make a “Coach Woodson is retiring at the end of the year” announcement now. We’d all know that it’s BS and that it’s really a firing, but it’d let Woodson leave with his ego intact and avoid the fanbase hating him.
  18. Had to do a double take reading the name behind this post. Welcome aboard!
  19. We’ve reached the “players are tweeting at Dakich” point of the season. Luke Goode should probably just stay away from social media..
  20. The administration’s “process” is dog water and has led to decades of ineptitude. The solution is simple. These people just need to get out of the way and let Scott cook.
  21. There’s frankly zero downside to making that announcement now, imo. Usually you wouldn’t because you don’t want to lose your recruits. We only have one recruit committed, aren’t really going hard after anyone else in the 2025 class right now, and the kid we do have sounds like he committed to IU and not so much to Mike Woodson.
  22. I was one of the biggest “we need to hire a name” posters. Now, though, idk. Coach Cignetti wasn’t a name. The Louisville and UK coaches weren’t names. Dusty May was sorta a name but was making a big leap in competition. With the way NIL favors a school like IU, the biggest thing we need is a grinder who breathes, eats, and lives college basketball 365 days a year.
  23. And he picked a terrible answer to the question lol. But it’s whatever. I really don’t care what a six-month Hoosier has to say after the team’s second straight 25 point L. Two more months and we can move past this disastrous tenure.
  24. Amazing that Crean’s teams didn’t give up 94 in a game in his first three seasons, as terrible as those teams were, yet Woodson’s $6 million squad just did it tonight.
