Al Durham - Bàsquet Girona of Catalonia

Is it the video with the Gucci Mane/Drake song? -
Can we change the script?
Hoosierfan2017 replied to FearMcCracken's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
What? It was the first exhibition. Relax. -
Based on what I've seen from Stlboiler23 on other boards I was expecting a lot worse than we've gotten so far. Honestly he has been pretty chill.

That's what happens when you play not to lose like we've done all season. I knew we weren't playing to win when we stopped them on 4th down with like 1:25 left in the first half and we didn't call a timeout. We could've gotten the ball back with more than a minute on the clock and two timeouts, but instead we decided to let the clock run and go into the half down 14-10. Im tired of it to be quite honest. It's hard to root for a team when the coaches do stuff like that every week. At least let the fans know you're playing to win.

I went to the game this year, my first one of the season. It was enjoyable for the first three quarters. You could definitely feel the energy leave the stadium after the Ellison fumble call though. That was a game changer. Lagow played pretty well for the first three quarters, but the play calling still drives me insane. There was one play on 3rd and like 20 and we do a qb run with Lagow. That's a wasted down, we might as well just kneel it. I bought into the hype early this season but the coaching staff isn't very good. Allen seems like a nice guy, and he definitely wants to be here, but I'm quickly losing confidence in him.

Thomas Bryant - Cleveland Cavaliers

Bryant was good here but the incessant whining annoyed me. I just want to forget about everything from last season and start new with memories. -
(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy

Well in his case it was because other schools didn't recruit him so he didn't really have many options. -
(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy
Hoosierfan2017 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
If he goes to Vandy it probably won't be for basketball reasons, it'll be because he wants to be close to his family. In that case there's nothing we can really do. -
So when I was a kid I liked a few schools in football, really whichever one was good lol. Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, etc. It was always IU basketball, but IU football always stunk so I would watch other schools. It wasn't until college that I started caring about IU football.

(2018) G/F Damezi Anderson to Detroit Mercy
Hoosierfan2017 replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Patterson was 6'2/6'3. Anderson is 6'6/6'7.. -
Notre Dame fans are more of the "snobby" type from my experiences.

(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy

It's not meant to be disrespectful. It's just a fact. Noah Vonleh was a lottery pick but that doesn't mean he made a big impact here. They were both drafted for potential. It's not an indictment of their abilities. Unfortunate circumstances led to OG never being able to reach his potential here. He played 14 minutes a game his freshman year and then had an injury plagued sophomore season. If he had stayed healthy we'd likely be having a different conversation. -

OG didn't really do much here. Great prospect and I hope he has a long NBA career, but he never got a chance to showcase his skills in college. -

Yeah I get that. Maybe he considers it his hometown, who knows. I think his dad's ties to Indiana will help for sure though. -

Didn't Darius live in Indiana until 7th grade? I guess I don't really get the "hometown hero" angle when he didn't grow up there. -
I had to google that one haha

Man when I was a kid I would watch the same sportscenter episode multiple times lol. I remember flipping back and forth between that and espn news

Victor Oladipo - Memphis Grizzlies
Hoosierfan2017 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
The Pacers are going to screw around and make the playoffs. Not such a bad haul for George after all. -
ESPN just isn't needed like it used to be. They're good for games but other than that I don't watch much. It's not even the politics really. I can just find information quickly online without having to watch tv. Instead of waiting for them to get to it on a show I can go out and find the info that I want.

Exhibition Game Thread: Marian University
Hoosierfan2017 replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Great post. I wish I could like it more than once. I'm just curious about one part. "11. Now to Coach Miller. He's constantly coaching. Constantly. If a kid comes out (not named Green) he's coaching them." Im just curious about what you saw regarding this and if you have any opinions on why he was different with Green.
