  1. I'm not even worried about Romeo, honestly. If he doesn't come we will be fine. I think Jerome Hunter will be an impact player from day 1, and I think Damezi Anderson is really underrated. His 3 point shooting should get him minutes right away. Vandy has the 2 flashy 5 star recruits to get Romeo's attention, but I would still take our class over theirs. We will have a more talented roster for Romeo next year than Vandy will, imo.
  2. He wanted to get personal with me soo
  3. I have nothing to do with it. IU wouldn't be compromising the players' integrity. If they didn't come here they would go to another team willing to play the game. That's on the recruits. Do you think UK fans are sad about watching their team go deep in the tournament year in and year out?
  4. And Kentucky has been to 6 elite eights and 4 final fours in the past 8 seasons. Their program is seen as the elite of the elite. There are worse things as a fan to deal with.
  5. No it's not. I'm not personally connected to IU basketball. I'm just a fan. Watching IU basketball is a hobby, what they do doesn't affect my day to day life. Watching us lose with "class and integrity" doesn't do anything for me, it just gets me a hard time from my friends who root for other schools.
  6. If you're happy with IU being the honorable and moral loser then that's fine, but some of us want to win big, and we see other programs winning big while cheating like crazy. There is very little risk, and a whole lot to gain.
  7. Are there any programs that are consistently elite without playing in the gray area?
  8. Give me what the Duke's, UK's, UNC's, etc. of the college basketball world are doing. I want to be an elite program and it seems like that's what you gotta do to get to that level.
  9. That's what I care about too. I don't want Archie bringing in questionable guys like some of the recruits Kansas gets. If they're respectable guys, go to class, stay out of trouble, etc., then I'm cool with us playing in the gray area to get them. If we don't then someone else will and we only hurt ourselves.
  10. Honestly I'm kind of tired of the "morals" thing. Cheating pays off, not-cheating doesn't pay off. Knowing we do things the "right way" doesn't do much for me when I'm watching teams cheat like crazy and hang banners because of it.
  11. Yeah I get that man. I want the top instate talent too, but if we're getting comparable talent from out of state then I won't be upset. So like, if Brooks goes to MSU but we get Watford then I'll be happy.
  12. Honestly I don't see any player as a "must get". We must get talented five stars to compete at the highest level, but that could be Jackson-Davis, Brooks, Hurt, Watford, etc. We must get guys with their skill but I don't see individual guys as must gets.
  13. Hoosier Guy doesn't state his as fact though. He literally said that he's his own source, he just brings a lot of optimism to the board.
  14. Here's a better view of his dunk.
  15. Why not just ignore them if their "melodramatic points" annoy you?
  16. There have been lots of "alpha dogs" out there in past years but it's not often that they convince other elite players to join up with them - at a non-basketball school especially. My money would go toward smelly door #2 in this situation.
  17. Shade runs in the family. Vanderbilt is looking very suspicious.
  18. Well that's not good news. I wonder why he didn't commit during the signing period.
  19. Bro wrong saying haha. "Dime a dozen" means common
  20. Romeo needs a Kendrick Perkins enforcer type to do his dirty work for him.
  21. My bad, I read that like you were talking about Hunter instead of Smith.
  22. Because you just said that he's going to be one.
  23. Hunter is not a post player. Not even close.
