(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

I think if Shittu was a lock for Vandy he would've signed during this period, especially with Garland signing Monday. I bet he goes somewhere else. -

The fact that our young guys are buying in is what makes me confident that Archie is the right guy. They haven't been ruined by Crean yet, and it shows that it's not a problem with Archie as a coach. He gets guys to buy in, just not the ones who spent several years under Crean. Once he gets more and more of his guys here we should be just fine. -

I don't think the other schools mind too much when they're going on their final four runs and hoisting their national championship banners, but to each his own I guess. -

I'm sick and tired of being the honorable losers. Schools cheat like crazy and reap the rewards. The NCAA has shown that they won't do a thing about it. -

+5 in 31 minutes and we lose by 16. Yikes. -

Green played well against high level competition. That was one thing I was looking to see out of this game. Smith battled hard against their bigs. He's a little timid but that'll improve over time. It's going to be a bumpy ride this season but I'm still excited to have hope again. -

Rojo still has the same terrible body language he had last season. I think it might be too late for him. -

Lagow sucks but he at least tries. Rojo looks like he'd rather be in a calculus lecture than on the basketball court. -

This team is playing very hard. If they bring this grit night in and night out this season I'll be happy regardless of what our record is. -

I've heard stories about Crean's brutal late season practices and his brutal pregame practices. What were those like? (If you don't feel comfortable sharing that's totally cool!) -

Cmon man. You can do better than this. -

With that news part of me wonders how interested he really was in us, since his dad is a big IU fan. I could see his dad vouching for IU and Darius keeping us in the running in part because he knew it would make his dad happy, even if he wasn't all that interested. There's nothing wrong with that if so, and I'm sure there was interest from Darius (I don't think he led us on), but it's just something I thought about. -

He better be ready for big minutes because we're in desperate need of a knockdown shooter. -

Yeah I totally get that. Occasionally I'll see a team playing and wonder how such and such recruit is doing, but I don't watch much college basketball outside of IU so I usually forget about them. -

If we're recruiting a kid and he decides to go elsewhere then I generally stop following his career. It's nothing personal against a kid, I just lose interest if he decides to go somewhere else. Best of luck and on to the next recruit for me. -

Haha no worries. It was just a rough estimate on my part from a quick eyeballing, but if he's shorter than 6' when he gets here I would honestly be surprised. -

I'm 6'6 like Damezi Anderson. Just off seeing RP and Anderson next to each other at the game Friday, and eyeballing from my own height, I'd say he's definitely over 6'. Probably like 6'1 or 6'2. -

Haha nah man I don't think that about you, we're just on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to the football team's offense this year. I agree with a lot more of your posts on here than I disagree with, honestly. -
My Way Too Early Opinion on this Season/Team
Hoosierfan2017 replied to CrossboneIU22's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
They probably looked dejected because they know Archie and the staff are going to rip into them about shooting 41% from the free throw line. I'm actually glad that they looked dejected. They shouldn't be happy about beating Howard by 9 at home. If players can't handle his practices then those are players we probably don't want on the team anyway. I don't think coaches like Izzo, Calipari or Coach K are worried about hurting their players' feelings. The upperclassmen are used to being coddled after making mistakes so we'll see if Archie can change them. Maybe it's too late for some of them.
