  1. Yeah that's true. Here's to hoping that it happened and that the Langfords werent thrilled about it.
  2. Interesting. You'd think that Self would have a better read on Romeo's situation and realize that tactic probably wouldn't work with him, but ya never know.
  3. It's probably my favorite quote I've ever read on here lol.
  4. Haha. It's definitely so much better having something to be positive about with IU basketball.
  5. Hoosier Guy saying "I trust my source and thats me" has about as much credibility to me as the people claiming that they're insiders. (Not hating on you Hoosier Guy, I love your optimism)
  6. Mannn could you at least give us a warning next time
  7. I feel like it's safe to say that right now no one has any idea what Romeo is going to ultimately do, including Romeo himself in all likelihood.
  8. Yes. He's raised three high character young men in Chino Hills. That doesn't happen by accident. I've seen a lot of people say that he's just "making money off his kids." Is he, or is he building a brand for his kids? Lavar was rich before "Big Baller Brand" was ever a thing. I don't think he's doing this for himself.
  9. I'm just not sure why you believe that he's a "moron by the standards of parental integrity". Like, how did you reach that conclusion?
  10. I don't think we have any evidence that he's a bad parent or doing things that harm his kids.
  11. Lavar is very far from a moron. And I doubt Lamelo sees his dad as selfish when Melo's a 16 year old kid whipping a Lambo.
  12. Homeschooling doesn't mean that the parent does the teaching. Lavar is rich, he could easily hire a tutor. A lot of time is wasted in a typical school day from my experiences. Homeschooling would be better for him. Lamelo will be just fine. His dad likes to run his mouth, but he's very shrewd.
  13. That's IU football in a nutshell. I think it'll take a while to keep people excited throughout an entire season. They see a blowout like last Saturday and think "welp, there's the IU football I know" and tune out.
  14. Not me. I'm well aware that there will be growing pains with a freshman quarterback. I'm willing to go through those with a freshman because there's potential to improve. Getting starting experience will be valuable down the road. At this point I think it's safe to say Lagow isn't going to improve.
  15. I'm all for it being a recruiting entertainment event. I think the fans would like it too. I mean, we already have the dance intros, a 3 point shootout and a dunk contest so it's obvious that we're trying to make it entertaining. Might as well continue that and mold it to make it even more attractive to recruits. We want players coming away thinking that IU is a fun place to be.
  16. I agree, but in order to make deep tournament runs we need to become a cool destination. We are gonna have to go head to head against the Duke/UK/Kansas/UNC's of college basketball to land those players so we have to make IU a cool school to go to again.
  17. If you want to get the top recruits then you need to make your program the "cool" place to play at. An easy way to do that is to get a well known rapper to show up. Hoosier Hysteria is an event so I'm not really understanding the "it's about basketball." It's a hype event designed to get people excited about the upcoming season.
  18. He's had every opportunity to solidify himself as the starter and he hasn't been able to do it. I think it'd be foolish for us to expect him to change at this point. Like you said, go with the young guy.
  19. Lagow starts, Lagow sucks, Lagow gets replaced. Rinse and repeat each week. I'll be shocked if Lagow doesn't start next week.
  20. I'm ready to watch us play another school at our level so we can gauge what kind of team we are. I wonder if our offense would look any better against them.
  21. They've definitely be underwhelming so far. I'd like for us to finally pick a quarterback and settle on one offense instead of going back and forth. Maybe that would help things.
  22. Ramsey's 6'2, 210 pounds so he's got decent size. Of course it's best to limit the number of hits he takes as much as possible, but I'm not toooo worried about it.
  23. Our defense is pretty good this season but they wear out in the second halves. With Ramsey we can run a ground and pound offense that keeps our defense off the field. Ramsey's a "dual threat" qb but I like that his first instinct doesn't seem to be to tuck the ball and run. If he can just be a game manager for us this year it's still better than what we get with Lagow.
  24. Exactly. If we can run the ball effectively and keep him at 20-25 passes a game we'll be good. Ellison is looking like he's ready to be the feature back right now. I say hand the two of them the keys and let em loose. It gives us our best shot both now and in the future.
