  1. Also 2018 G Robert Phinisee is really big on Bennett and Virginia
  2. I like him. He recruits the Midwest well and gets a lot out of his players. I have a hard time believing he leaves Xavier though. When asked about the IU job the other day he seemed pretty set on Xavier. He said something to the extent of he is from Cincinnati, he's a Xavier grad and they compete in the conference of last years national champs so he has it good where he is at.
  3. If Bennett would take the job now, I'd pull the trigger.
  4. Then they should stop talking about it. Literally the only person making a huge deal out of this was Dakich talking to Katz and now Katz has spread it all over ESPN the last few days. ESPN is the main source that won't drop the Alford to IU talk
  5. No, he has said all along that Alford and his camp are very interested in the job. He never said anything about IU being mutually interested in Alford
  6. If its true then Im guessing the trustees and donors are the ones calling for the Alford hire
  7. If things don't work out with Stevens or Donovan, I'd almost make more of a run at Holtman from Butler than anyone else. He recruits the area and the state really well and has his teams competing.
  8. This season was so bad Purdue had a better record
  9. ****Rabjohns post was the opinion of two people he talked to. Later on in the same thread Rabjohns clarified that it was only opinion and not official
  10. The buyout is not a one time large sum of money. Its negotiated out over a schedule of years as far as Ive read
  11. Rabjohns has not tweeted anything out
  12. Except now its been reported on 247 that Rabjohns' sources said it was just their opinion that Crean is back. Nothing confirmed, hence why Rabjohns hasn't tweeted anything out
  13. I never once for a second believed that Crean would step down on his own. He is too prideful to do that. The only way he goes is if he is fired.
  14. All signs point to IU playing in the NIT so Im really not expecting anything until after we are out of the NIT honestly.
  15. Care to share please??
  16. Besides coming off as creepy what did Crean do to alienate Indiana H.S. coaches? Theres been a definite disconnect and difference with in state recruiting since Lyles decomited
  17. 1. Gary Harrison 2. Trevon Blueitt - I saw him play with the Indiana AllStars with Blackmon the summer before their freshman year in college and Blueitt was by far the best player on the court. 3. Trey Lyles - After he de-comited it seemed like recruiting started to take a significant turn. 4. Shake Milton - He has flourished into a great scorer at SMU 5. Swanigan - I know people will say he was never interested, but Crean and staff offered him late in the game. There were some health and weight issues for him but Purdue seemed to be on him from the start. There were a lot of Indiana kids that didn't seem like superstars but would've been solid rotation players here. Kyle Guy, Joey Brunk, Kellen Dunham, and Bryant McIntosh are a few that come to mind.
  18. It was epic in state....we just didn't land any of them hahaha
  19. It's not up to the university, its up to the individual players. They are covered by confidentially and can choose to have it made public knowledge or not.
  20. I was looking forward to this episode with Doyel cause he was supposedly going to be frank and up front, but all that I heard was the same old stuff we keep hearing from Crean and the players. Im tired of the coach speak and want to him some honesty and some real solutions. On one hand Doyel talked about how great Crean is at developing players, then goes on to talk about how all of the players haven't developed this year....makes no sense. He also said Crean is getting better players. I don't understand that part either. I think Crean is brining in more kids designed for his style of play (whatever that is), but we were pulling in McDonalds All Americans players and top notch players in the state, hasn't been the same the last few classes. I really like the players we have been pulling in, but I wouldn't say that each class of recruits has been better than previous classes.
  21. Ive just come to accept the fact that I don't and will never understand his thinking behind substitutions. Takes guys out when they get hot. Sometimes sits guy most of the second half after having a great first half. It happened too many times with Zeisloft, happened a lot in today's game even.
  22. Id like to see the same info about McRoberts from the other games cause I just don't see the positive of having him out there. He tends to get beat by his man on defense and seems to try to get rid of the ball as soon as he gets it. Seems scared to shoot the ball
  23. The only problem is that this is about the 3rd time he's done something like this so this apology is only words at this point. On ESPN there were several analysts that had spoken with Grayson this last offseason and he was apologetic about his tripping incidents in the past. He's just a brat who gets upset when things don't go his way.
  24. Ive seen four (very short) highlight clips of him and everything Ive seen from him , the majority of his offense work comes from starting on the block or top of the free throw lane. Not a lot of dribble drive, but mostly back to the basket. I think the majority of us are seeing him being a skinny kid and all of a sudden thinking he is going to be stationed out on the wing. But thats not what Im seeing on these short videos. Granted the competition level will be different but it seems like his go to move is either on the block or near the top of the free throw lane, backing his man down and shooting a jump shot over him. It will be interested to get more video, especially as his high school season starts in the next few months
