  1. Sounds like a good idea, but I don't know how well it would do. I guess it will be one of those things I'll have to see first. I just don't seem them drawing away a large group of the McDonalds all americans. Even during the years when players could go straight to the draft out of high school, it seemed that only about 3 or 4 McDonalds All Americans would make the jump to the pros every year. Money talks I guess.  Because it is so obscure right now I just don't see it working out. This thing is going to require  ALOT of money to get top level European clubs to come over to the US and play as well.
  2. Alex Bozich at Inside the Hall has been reporting that Thomas Bryant has already signed his LOI so i think any rumors that he is wavering are just rumors. He is ours
  3. Except Vonleh was the second best 3pt shooter behind yogi two years ago. I don't think Bryant is going to come out trying to shoot a bunch of threes but he has shown that he can step out and hit a few a game consistently. No reason to change his game
  4. Crean just said two weeks ago that Devin is a very long ways away from even being able to participate in contact drills. Running through shooting drills is way different from actual contact drills and game action. Im afraid it will be pushing it for him to be back and contributing next year. Maybe midseason?
  5. I think out of necessity he did. With Devin Davis being out Collin's recovery time had to be sped up a bit
  6. It is funny that every offseason we sit around and say who is going to get how many minutes and whatnot and then during the season it goes completely different from how we expect.
  7. If he could be relied on for offense like Alford or play D like Dakich then it would be fine. Of course its not always the quickest that wins the matchup, but quickness and positioning is important.  Making comparisons to one of the greatest scorers in IU history and one of the better defenders to play here doesn't really make sense here
  8. Looks for for 2016 we are recruiting Rawle and DeRon Davis the hardest
  9. Im not down on Hartman but you also have to be realistic about him. Of course it wasn't fair to put him in the post, but he isn't quick enough to defend most wings. Apart from an occasional three he doesn't add much on offense. Im not saying he is terrible or shouldn't play, but I think he is a role player at best. He is usually pretty smart with the ball and his passing but can't be counted on to score usually
  10. Louisville lost A LOT this offseason too
  11. Best to save judgments till we see him in full games. He was named Most Improved Player of last summers EYBL AAU league, which is the top AAU league in the states. That bodes well for him.
  12. Except in limited minutes, Sheehey could still be relied up for offense. Hartman provides some short bursts of energy but thats about it. He is basically Etherington from last year with a few added benefits
  13. I know Hartman hustles like hardly anyone else on the team but I could easily see OG and Morgan stealing a lot of his minutes. I think Morgan probably comes in playing better D than Hartman in the post and OG plays better on the wing. Nothing definitive but apart from the hustle I didn't see much on D or on offense from Hartman last year to think he will have major minutes this year. I know Im gonna get a lot of flack for this haha
  14. Now where are all the people who a week or two ago said they weren't "feeling it" that Bryant would commit?
  15. There have been plenty posted on here from Inside the Hall and any other interviews he did at the Mcdonalds stuff this week
  16. Definitely not complaining, just commenting on this new trend. Im just saying there are players that only seek out to play for a certain school because of their ties with a shoe company. They don't even hide the fact. Sure we are an Adidas school and Thon plays with an Adidas school now but he hasnt even mentioned it openly like a lot of other players have.
  17. No I had definitely heard about it, but I just really looked into it and investigated it a little more today. Its really stupid
  18. Im just now really learning about this whole new deal where kids are only going to schools that are tied to certain shoe companies. Ridiculous in my opinion
  19. I came away super unimpressed with him. His bad shots and bad passes out weighed his good decisions
  20. He was offered a job here a few years back and turned it down. He would only leave if he became the head assistant and I don't see that happening here
  21. Yeah it was discussed here yesterday
  22. I enjoyed watching Bryant but that second half was UGLY! Bryant and Brown from the other team were the only highlights. Ive seen middle school games look cleaner than that game. Im not sold on the other two recruits from Huntington Prep.
  23. When I picture Richardson all I can see is him wearing that tshirt with pot leaves on it that he wore on his visit to IU
  24. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gChte3yrUwE Thomas Bryant is a force to be dealt with down low. He shows Diamond Stone who's boss more than a few times in those videos. The only thing I didn't like from the videos (and its a trend I hate in basketball all around) is that he uses that off arm to push off A LOT
