Just watched a helluva well-played game for the Virginia 5A state championship. Undefeated Princess Anne (27-0) vs. Menchville (25-1). PA had won the 3 previous state titles and 15 titles since 2002. Tonight in OT, they made it 4 and 16 with a 65-62 overtime win. I have zero expectations that we would ever see Ojo suit up as a Hoosier, but this young lady is a ballplayer. Great court awareness and instincts for the ball. 8 of her points came on offensive rebounds putbacks. Game stats: 27p, 11r, 1a, 3s, 6b, 0t. Well this would be interesting. Alabama Coach Kristy Curry is an emerging candidate at Northwestern according to @basket_review, @SkimMilkey and @primetimeMitch. Curry is 244-172 (.587) in 13 seasons in Tuscaloosa, including five straight 20+ win seasons. Curry also coached for 14 seasons at Purdue and Texas Tech, and has an all time record of 553-321 (.633).

Ondineme, a 6-3 junior, appeared in 18 games this season. And I will tell you that none of these 3 are surprises. Another disappointing season nears an end with barely a whimper!

In the course of a ball game, it's always easy to blame a single play or player that costs their team a victory even though there are other plays/players that also led to the loss. In tonight's Georgia 3A championship game, Sandy Creek lost in overtime 65-63 to Heritage and Morghan Reckley has to shoulder the blame. She is the primary ball handler and clear MVP of the Sandy Creek team and finished tonight's game with 28p, 6r, 3a, 6s, 0b, 3t. But, her actions on the court cost her team a win. With 1:27 left in regulation, she made a sweet pass to a teammate for a layup and foul which game Sandy Creek a 6-pt. lead. But she clearly taunted a Heritage player and was assessed a technical which gave her 4 fouls for the game. Heritage makes the technical foul shot and then buries a 3 so the 6 point lead has been erased and the game subsequently ends in regulation tied at 58. With 2:42 left in OT, a teammate is fouled and a timeout called. On the way to the bench, she clearly bumped a Heritage player who quickly dropped to the floor like she'd been hit by a ball bat. Reckley is assessed another technical foul and she's done for the night and Heritage eventually wins. 27 games: 23.9p, 7.4r, 5.4a, 4.7s, .3b, 3.0t 47% FG, 31% on 3s, 74% FT

Boston U. senior 6'5 forward Anete Adler has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer, per source. Adler averaged 15.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game last year for Boston. She had two 33-point games this past season.
