  1. Reminder this event will be held at Hamilton Southeastern HS in Fishers.
  2. I'm having doubts that Shaw's tweets and short blurbs on On3 are always actually updates and he's just regurgitating stuff he's posted previously. When I read some his "news" updates, I swear I've read it before even though they're carrying a current date.
  3. Christian Collins, the No. 9 overall prospect in the class of 2026, will stay home and commit to USC .
  4. We on btb certainly do our part.
  5. CHIPOTLE NATIONALS 2026 FIELD HAS BEEN LOCKED: Teams who will participate and players with IU offers. AZ Compass Dynamic Prep - Marcus Spears Bella Vista - Vaughan Karvala Prolific Prep - Nas Anderson Montverde Acdemy Paul VI Wasatch SPIRE - King Gibson (maybe Aiden Derkack?) Stepinac Link Academy - Davion Thompson Chipotle Nationals takes place April 1st-4th in Indianapolis. It’ll be the first time the tournament is held in the same site as the Final Four.
  6. For those who subscribe to NFHS, Lindsay and St. Xavier currently in the 3rd Q playing Covington Catholic in the KY state tournament. If they win today, they'll play next on Friday at 11 am. The semifinals and state finals will be played on Saturday. Lindsay is #5.
  7. Don't know if it could even work, but find a way to remove eligibility cases out of the local (maybe too friendly) courts and to an arbitration panel or mediation. The lawyers on board would have to weigh in if anything like that is even a possibility.
  8. You sign a pro contract of any kind - G League, NBA, overseas - you're no longer technically an amateur and thus not eligible for college athletics. If you're collecting a monthly federal entitlement check you're no longer eligible for college athletics. [only half in jest]
  9. Dress for 47 degree weather and watch the women (21-6) host IU Indy (3-22) at 5:00. Radio Live Stats And once again for Aly.
  10. It'$ become $uch a joke. European pro player$ "exploring" college in the U.$.
  11. Probably already started watching film of past year's pace car drivers.
  12. Belleville (25-2) defeated in a Michigan state tournament quarterfinal game by DeWitt 48-41 in a game neither team shot well. Belleville led 35-28 after 3 but committed too many costly turnovers plus the inability to make what shots they did take. For the game Savoury 18p, 5r, 1a, 1s, 0b, 3t Stats for 18 games: 23.0p, 5.1r, 2.8a, 4.3s, .4b, 1.2t
  13. Maybe an opportunity in the portal. Time will tell.
  14. GiGi Battle's teammate Sara Okeke committed to USC today. Reportedly it was down to USC, Texas, pUKe and IU.
  15. 4 Hoosier pitchers scattered 9 Vandy hits and Vandy was a gracious host leaving 11 runners on base. We had 10 hits with Denny going 4-5 with 4 RBI. Next weekend we host Minnesota.
  16. From Alec Lasley and this is very impressive. Shay was the second player in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history to have 50/40/90 averages while scoring 20+ points a game (23.2)
  17. But in today's world, a coach can spend a year really working to develop a player and then the following year the player bolts for the bigger buck. And yes, coaches definitely want to win but it's a what did you do for me today environment. Hypothetically let's assume Ristic, Drake, Harris and Acimovich all bail. What's the benefit to IU in having spent a year developing them and collectively we got 31 minutes of court time from them?
  18. If you truly want to develop players then contracts are a must. Otherwise, you'll spend a year developing them and then they'll bolt for the bigger buck.
  19. Joe Tipton - Baylor guard Isaac Williams IV has signed a two-year deal to remain at Baylor and finish his career in Waco. The 6-1 sophomore averaged 10.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game this season. First time I've seen anything like this mentioned. Anyone else?
  20. Couple of portal entrants that had some IU interest with no expectation that interest would still be there today. Jamie Kaiser, Jr., was offered in May '22 and committed to Maryland Aug '22. Last season he played at Butler. The 6’6” sophomore wing started 29/30 games for the Bulldogs, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. Daquan Davis never had an IU offer but got more than 1 look. Committed to Florida State March '24. Transferred to Providence and redshirted due to injury. Averaged 8.8 PPG last season at Florida State.
