  1. 1.5 min. left and Syracuse up 3 over Duke at Cameron on ESPN.  Kid from 'Cuse has 12 offensive rebounds.
  2. Won't happen.  Probably won't get much more than a hand slap.  Hope I'm wrong.  UNC should get the death penalty for as long as the academic fraud went on.
  3. Summary:  http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/13012146/ncaa-charges-north-carolina-tar-heels-five-serious-violations
  4. Gasp! Shudder!  You mean the dreaded "C" word?
  5. In general, academic fraud.  Phony classes; phony grades, etc.
  6. Wasn't mocking you and I now recall earlier posts that you were incommunicado for a period of time.

  8. Have you been living in a cave in a remote area of the Himalaya's?   Google 'Hookers and Louisville' and you'll quickly learn.
  9. They aren't but tomorrow or the next day some judge will nix the IHSAA ruling and it will all be back in the courts once again.  Damn lawyers - oops, sorry Martin!!
  10. Things like this happen after you become a football school!   :D
  11. It's unusual for the 'kiss off' letter to be this blunt and can't help but wonder what really went on.   Did TN get his commit and then totally forget about staying in contact?  Is he a young man who needs a daily ego stroke?  Did TN get other commit(s) they think are better and this was a way to encourage him to de-commit?
  12. If only the stock market would climb in conjunction with the post count on this thread!
  13. Not yet, I'm still waiting for my nerve meds to kick in!
  14. De-committed from TN today but I couldn't get the image of his statement to copy.   Cites poor communication and lack of openness:
  15. UGH!  I just had awful flashbacks to Cleveland State and the Richmond Spiders.
  16. Found this snippet following Illinois' loss to Nebraska:  "It was Finke’s second offensive rebound of the game, but the only one for Illinois in the second half and, ultimately, the third and final for the Illini in their 78-67 loss to the Cornhuskers. Illinois fans — those in attendance at State Farm Center and more chiming in on social media — lamented Illinois’ rebounding against Nebraska. The Cornhuskers ended the game with a 42-24 edge on the boards, the sixth straight team — and 12th this season — to outrebound the Illini."   Troy, TB and Max should have a rebounding feast.
  17. Indiana Ice Bball ‏@indiana_ice 2m2 minutes ago Per @robphinisee1, @indiana_ice 2018 PG Robert Phinisee of McCutcheon was offered by Purdue University!       :rtfm:
  18. CTC is notoriously vague on individual player health/injuries but he has repeatedly implied that RoJo is banged up.
  19. And a lot of them are on Sundays or weeknights and they aren't 1-2 hour bus rides from home.  Makes you wonder just how much 'book learnin' goes on at many of the basketball factories.
  20. 1/17, Hunt. Prep defeated Garfield Heights (OH) 82 - 68.   CuJo with 24 pts.
  21. Very good because I wondered also and he's far superior to Teague IMO.
  22. Just for fun. One of those links you find at the bottom of a webpage to the 10 best, 10 worst, etc., kind of stuff.  This one was captioned:  Each State's All-Time NBA Starting Five   The basic criteria was born and raised not where they played college ball.  Therefore, Isiah Thomas doesn't make the list because he was from Illinois (he is on the IL list of course).  Mike Conley could have made the list (he didn't) even though he went to OSU.    Indiana Jeff Teague, Gordon Hayward, Larry Bird, Shawn Kemp, George McGinnis Total of 19 All-Star appearances, 5 NBA/ABA championships The Hoosier State has a strong tradition in basketball and it is no surprise their all-time NBA is impressive as well. Jeff Teague gets the nod at point guard and though he may only have one All-Star appearance so far, 12.5 points and 5.0 assists per game give you an idea of why he deserves a spot. Scott Skiles is the only other Hooiser that should be considered, but I believe by the end of Teague’s playing days — and if the Atlanta Hawks continue to be successful — he’ll be the clear choice. Another active player gets the next mention for team Indiana as Gordon Hayward. He may normally be a small forward, but there is too much talent in the state not to make players adjust. Hayward has been proving himself to be one of the league’s better players with 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. He’s only gotten better each season and we’ll have to wait to see how much he peaks before the end. You knew Larry Legend was coming, and of course Bird is on team Indiana. Bird was the best trash talker, not because the words were so brutal, but because he backed it up. Strangely he never was a leader in any statistic during his career but he was near the top in points, rebounds and assists consistently. Thanks to advanced statistics like win shares, plus-minus and PER in particular, where he still sits in 18th all-time, we know that Larry Bird is one of the greatest to play the game from any state, much less in Indiana. George McGinnis and his six All-Star Game appearances as well as two ABA titles comes up next of the Hoosier State. In fact, those two titles came with ABA version of the Indiana Pacers if you needed more “Indiana-ness” for McGinnis. 21.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game averages for McGinnis aren’t too shabby either. Rounding out the list for Indiana is Shawn Kemp. The Rain Man is best known for his time with the Seattle SuperSonics and lives there now, but he was born and raised in Indiana. Kemp and the Sonics were a force to be reckoned with from 1993 to 1997 while he made a total of six All-Star games in his career. Kemp averaged 14.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per a game. Grade: A
  23. Could easily see them as a giant killer in the Big Dance.
  24. A valiant effort but the Ladies came up short when Anderson's shot with seconds left wouldn't fall and Minny got an offensive rebound to run out the clock.  Final score Minny 78 - IU 76   Buss 17 Pts; 8 assists; 5 rebounds Royster 17 pts; 8 rebounds.   Major contribution given the first half foul troubles of Cahill and Anderson. Cahill 14 pts; 7 rebounds Anderson 14 pts.; 6 rebounds.   15 TO's for the game and only 4 of 17 on 3's but they really put the defensive stop to Banham who had 20 at the half but only finished with 24 for the game.
