  1. Interesting read from the Las Vegas Review-Journal regarding the vacant UNLV position.  All speculation but still interesting nonetheless.    http://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/unlv-rebels/basketball/source-pitino-interested-unlv-coaching-job
  2. Us   81      89     The what the heck is an ill-lie-n-eye?   67       There are 351 teams in D1. Illinois is 335th in offensive rebounding percentage (22.2%). They are also 323rd in 3-point D %.     This game better be a nice little walk in the park!
  3. FWIW, Langford had the 44 at the end of the 3rd quarter.  And in case people think the score was a typo
  4. Saturday 1/16:  Jeff Rabjohns ‏@JeffRabjohns 2m2 minutes ago 2018 guard Austin Boucher, who recently visited Indiana, 36 points for Fort Wayne South in an 83-74 win over Broad Ripple.
  5. New Albany defeats Scottsburg 113 - 39.  Langford with 44 pts., a New Albany single game record.
  6. Final: Prolific Prep 64, Huntington Prep (W.V.) 63 Miles Bridges 22, 9 rebs, 3 blocks; Curtis Jones 22 pts. and 6 assists.
  7.   From 247 - http://indiana.247sports.com/Bolt/Indiana-hires-USFs-Tom-Allen-as-defensive-coordinator-42881745   "Allen implemented a 4-2-5 defense at USF, made to combat spread offenses. It's currently unknown what he will do with Indiana's existing personnel, but at USF, he employed the use of a "husky," a player who was a linebacker-safety hybrid. It also used a "bull," similar to IU's "bandit" linebacker-defensive end hybrid, as well as a "rover," a strong safety who plays more in coverage."   I'm not passing judgment on is this a positive move or not for the program overall, but are there some key returnees who will transfer out and some recruits we thought we had now de-commit?  Meant as a rhetorical question because both are likely and how much further will that set us back in trying to shore up a notoriously and historically weak defensive unit before Allen can bring in the caliber of players he needs?
  8.   Alex Bozich ‏@insidethehall 14m14 minutes ago Unless I'm missing something, Indiana didn't have a turnover in the final 16:34. #iubb
  9. On 3 let's all take a deep breath.  Why do we have to play down to our competition in so many games and make it tough on ourselves?
  10. Good thing Minny is only 19 of 30 on free throws.
  11. Too much time left and not enough separation.  Verrrrry nervous.
  12. Gregg Doyel ‏@GreggDoyelStar 38s38 seconds ago Yogi Ferrell of Park Tudor is three assists short of tying Butler assistant (and Jasper HS star) Michael Lewis' #iubb career record of 545.
  13. I'm just the messenger; not the math major but you are absolutely correct.
  14. Assembly Call ‏@AssemblyCall 1m1 minute ago Actually, Zeisloft is now at 50% for season. Entered 30-73 from downtown. He's 5-7 today. The world is right again.
  15. Ohio State getting another beat down today at Maryland.  Down 32 with 14 min. left.    80 - 40 with 10 min. left to play.   Final score 100 - 65.   2 butt whippin's for OSU; love affair with Matta might be waning.
  16. I cringe every time I see TB roaming out to the 3-pt. line on the defensive end.
  17. Our level of play from our previous 2 games is following the same trend as the stock market - down, down, and more down.  :(
  18. Did somebody say 'trap game'?
  19. And what would that do to our recruiting efforts on the defensive side?
  20. On 1/15, Mishawka Marian (11 - 2) defeated SB Riley (12 - 4) 77 - 74.  From the South Bend Tribune:  "Anderson struggled with his shooting touch, hitting 10 of 24 from the field (5 of 12 3-pointers), and scored 25 points for Riley."
  21. Not trying to defend him, but do we know if he actually played or was out with illness or an injury?
  22. As a side note, the win over Logansport was McCutcheon coach Rick Peckinpaugh's 500th win over a 37 year coaching career.
