Anybody every been to New Brunswick or on the Rutgers campus?  Admittedly it's been 30 years for me, but at that time the city and the campus and its facilities were an absolute cesspool.

  And to think of such a trivial incident that cost The General his job.  Guess Myles Brand wasn't reincarnated as the President of Rutgers.

1st game lousy defense with a number of suspended players; 2nd game much better although not spectacular.  I look for our game 3 defense to be a bellwether for what to expect the rest of the year from that unit.

Really appreciate the running commentary from all of the posters.  Pain meds for my ailing back put me in la la land and I missed the 4th quarter.  Reading your comments were far better than anything I'll read in today's newspapers.  Thanks everyone.

What's happened to our high octane offense?

Hope our inability to score TD's doesn't bite us in the second half.  Offense needs to step it up.

The return of most of the suspended players doesn't seem to be having quite the outcome we hoped for.

We hold them on downs and force a punt and no one has a comment.  I guess we're all just speechless and dumbfounded.

To brighten our current moment of sorrow, Kyle Schwarber just hit another homer for the Cubbies, his 16th of his rookie season!

Just saw a tweet that our defense has given up 500+ yards of offense in 12 of our last 25 games.  UGH!  :angry:

Bad omen?

The really sad fact is that we even have this thread.  I don't think very many of us expected the game to play out the way it did and to be biting our nails to the knuckles in the final seconds.  As ugly as it was, it was a W.

Several people have alluded to the impact social media has in today's world vs. my college years of "x" years ago.  And while that's certainly a fact, you'd think by now these bozos would know that their every action is liable to end up on one form of social media or another.  As a college athlete and certainly as a pro athlete you have a target on your back and someone is just waiting to catch you in the act of doing something stupid and be the first to blurt it to the world.  Years ago, most of the transgressions we're learning of today would never have become known outside of the IU campus but that's definitely not the world we live in today.  But what does it take for these schmucks to get that through their heads? 

Let's not overlook the one truly bright spot about yesterday's game.  For the past 16 hours, it diverted our attention from our issues with the b-ball team.   :laugh:
