  1. No go to guy when needing shots late.
  2. Doesn’t make sense. There are no good teams this year.
  3. It’s a struggle for our guards to make the first pass in the half court tonight...Almost every one being deflected.
  4. Unless we lose both home games and the first of the BTT, I think we’re in at this point.
  5. Go on any message board, except maybe Baylor, and everyone is saying the same thing, that today’s college basketball players stink. Today’s kids never learned team basketball or fundamentals. They grew up in the dunk and three ball era, and what do we have as a result — a bunch of chuckers and slashers. I still think this team may go on a nice little run though.
  6. Shooting will cure all with this team. We know our guards are streaky when it comes to that, and this may come as a surprise to this bipolar fan base, but college rosters don’t change throughout the season. Let’s get the next three.
  7. On the bright side, we’re 16-3 in home/neutral site games.
  8. Maybe this passing really is a lack of contrast between uniform colors...
  9. A backcourt of Durham and Green is reminiscent of the 08-09 backcourt of Verdell and Devan Dumes.
  10. Our guys look like they’re being controlled by a 6 year old playing 2k who is holding the shot button down too long.
  11. Hmmm...not bad considering the rumors amongst the crowd here that the Athletic Department is actively trying to prevent a competitive roster...
  12. Too much given towards inflated records and no weighting towards conference relevancy. Duke and UNC have been better programs than Kansas the last 20 years. Villanova’s two titles far outweighs anything Wisconsin has accomplished, and Virginia’s title alone should bump them above Utah State (I mean, really...??). UConn has won four titles since 99. How are they below Gonzaga? Need to also factor in NCAAT seeding expectations vs performance.
  13. Yep! Now in fairness, that statement applies to 95% of the teams in this year’s NCAAT. Word to the wise, don’t bet big money on this year’s bracket. We could very well see a Final Four of Seton Hall, Stephen F. Austin, Northern Iowa, and Rutgers.
  14. This team can make the Final Four. They could also get run out of the building the first game.
  15. When TJD gets the ball in the post, WHY does another IU player run down to the post and bring his defender?
  16. Stanford Robinson...?
  17. I’ll repeat what I’ve been saying all year. Every team this year objectively stinks, including ours. The quality of play and the level of talent is down across the country. Because this is the case, we have as much of a chance to make the Final Four as we do to miss the tournament. And for the record, the Big Ten is not a good conference this year. It's considered deep because we have nine average teams and one or two decent teams. Most of the other conferences only have a few decent teams and very few average teams. There is no team to beat and no team can be taken for granted.
  18. Race’s role will continue to increase. When Joey has a good matchup, he has been very effective this season. The last few games have not been good matchups for him inside.
  19. TJD looks like Tim Duncan tonight.
  20. Did I see Kris Humphries behind the Minnesota bench?
  21. I’m still mad about us losing to Syracuse in 2013.
  22. If he doesn’t address the shooting in the off-season then he is looking to get canned. A rotation of Phinisee, Hunter, TJD, Brunk, Franklin, Durham, Thompson and (maybe) Smith is enough of a foundation. Get a couple of Zeislofts, one of whom can also play point ala Hulls, and there will be plenty enough talent to be competitive. I’m not even counting on any of the possible production we may get from the incoming freshmen. Rob also needs to step up and become the leader of this team. Mix up the assistants where it’s needed and be flexible with what you want to work and what you need to work philosophically. And lastly, Archie needs to act like he wants to be here and is the face of this program and therefore the face of the university. No more half-assed press conferences, no more being a low key figure at publicity events, and no more cow-tailing to the administrators and the players/parents.
  23. In his first year I think he was a little intimidated by the stage of being IU’s coach, but these last two seasons, especially this one, I’m questioning how much he actually wants to be here. Taking a job like this needs to mean more to you than just “I’m now the head coach at IU” (or UCLA, or UNC, or any of the brand name schools), and “therefore this is a top opportunity and I’m now at the peak of my profession.” You need to make it personal. You need to want to carve out a chapter in the school’s history as “your era.”
