  1. Stevens is still listed as an IU commit. Any update on this end? Even though we haven't had a QB for the last month, Penn State has been a QB hell-hole right now with Hackenberg flipping out on the field at this teammates and coaches. We play Penn State this weekend, so is Tommy expected to be in attendance?
  2.   Except that he wasn't benched after the first fumble.
  3.   The announcers/sideline reporter (don't remember who) said that Coleman was benched for the fumble and that CKW has a one fumble rule for his RBs, but he was benched after the second one.
  4.   The announcers got that wrong. Coleman was benched after his second fumble in the first quarter. He didn't lose the first one.
  5. Zander was at least accurate today on his 8 passes...Was not a fan of the wildcat because teams already know we're going to be running. Diamont can run, so I think if we can successfully run the read-option we can at least hang in the PSU, RU, and PU games if we don't turn the ball over. The game today was actually closer than the score, even with our garbage time TD. If we're more careful with the ball, actually did something in the red zone, and our D converted those near misses on pick-6's, this would've been a closer game. Think we would've actually won if we had a QB, but it is going to be tough to put up points without some big play breaks like we got against MSU.
  6. So we're averaging 17 passing yards/game since Sudfeld went out. Could be worse...
  7. Considering Brady Hoke doesn't know where Michigan's playing this weekend.
  8.   I don't like the idea either, because it's showing that he isn't mentally buying into IU at this point. He's going to be overwhelmed at Penn State. It's not even a question. Penn State and IU are polar opposites in the Big 10. Imagine a kid visiting a Penn State basketball game and then coming to Assembly Hall. That's what is going to happen this Saturday. It doesn't mean its a done deal by any means, and even objectively speaking I'd rather play QB for Wilson at IU than for Franklin at Penn State (O'Brien was a different story), but Penn State is selling kids on being a part of what is to come, like Crean had been doing during our rebuild.
  9.   The atmosphere for the OSU game is going to be a big sell. Hopefully the game is of a similar result as last year's and the crowd dies down quickly. I was at the PSU/OSU game in State College in 2005, and if you thought the 2011 IU-UK game was intense...   Stevens could end up at Penn State and never even start a game. Franklin is recruiting QBs like Crean recruits wings. Hackenberg has regressed under him as well.
  10.   His o-line is terrible and he lost his best WR from last year, but he's regressing. He was innaccurrate last year and is even worse this season so far. Against NW the other week his RB flipped out on him on the field for not being able to complete a 10 yard dump pass to him. His footwork is also terrible. Big time talent, but right now is not a good QB. PSU fans have gotten way ahead of themselves in acting like he's the second coming. Him being a sophomore doesn't mean much these days, as the last two Heisman winners were RS freshmen, with one winning a NC last year. Hackenburg has had one really great game (last year vs. Wisconsin) so far in his career, with most of his big moments coming from Allen Robinson bailing him out (GW drive against Michigan last year for example).   Penn State is not a good fit for Stevens. He is going to be one of the guys there, whereas at IU he will be the guy. Penn State hasn't been a destination school for QBs in over 20 years, with the only silver lining being when Bill O'Brien was there.
  11.   Penn State is where QB dreams go to die. Even Hackenberg is playing terribly this year.
  12.   That should keep Stevens at IU. The kid will be starting for a long time here and will have a good group of young receivers to toss to. Redding looks like he'll pick up where Coleman leaves off as well.
  13.   Running all over them. O-line and D are looking pretty solid. Nate isn't finding much open to throw to. Their 10 points have come off turnover (muffed punt led to a FG and an INT led to them having the ball within the 10).
  14. Problem appears to be route running/getting open. Nate hasn't found much and has done a lot of dancing in the pocket. Good thing we have a bye week next weekend. These kids need to get open when we face teams with a tougher front 7.
